And as we’ve said, those aren’t the only reason the offense was held scoreless for 29 minutes in the 2nd half.

You couldn't run between the tackles for any success at all and when the QB threw it to receivers in 1v1's, they dropped the ball. That's why you didn't move it. When they caught the ball, you moved the ball. When the drops began, you didn't move it.

After the Alabama game, teams ran man on outside and zoned LBs close to LOS (UGA / Ark / AM / FSU) did this. The blue print is out.

I'm convinced the LSU gameplan is to simply not lose our tough games too embarassingly.

That's how this team was built last year and it's how it's built this year.

JD in the game not making mistakes and hopefully scoring 21-24 points so we don't get blown out by SEC competition.

Why don't LSU fans understand how hard it is to run between the tackles when the defense has 7-8 players stacked on the line?

He didn't throw a deep ball to BTJ. He threw a ball about a yard behind where BTJ already was and BTJ had to stop and nearly fall backwards to make it look catchable.

We went to Atlanta last year...is that not championship caliber???

And we got blown out and he got benched and the backup was better. So, no, it’s not championship caliber

I think the criticism he is taking after this game is unwarranted. He played plenty good enough to win if the defense and WR and OL had done their job. Even the one pick he threw wasn’t his fault, Nabors just slipped making his cut back to the ball. I am not really a Daniels defender, he has improvements he needs to make but this is not on him in anyway.

Like I said, the goal with this team very clearly seems to be winning the games we should win, while not getting blown out in the games we shouldn't.

Kelly didnt take those field goals probably because he knew FSU was going to drop 40 and wanted to get our score as high as he could.

BTJ was open deep and dropped his as well.

He was wide open yet somehow the throw was late and WAY behind him.

JD is not a problem, but he isn't the solution

I don't care, catch the ball. It went through his hands. Catch the ball.

Like those 2 fades to Malik. He gunned the ball to Malik on a fade.
Mailk got frustrated.

Those fades were bad. Have to get some arc on those balls to give the WR a chance no doubt.

JD is the kid in class disrupting everyone else, causing problems but his parents fail to see it and blames everyone else.

At some point you have to realize he may not be the only problem but he is the main problem. He is the damn QB.

Because some people cannot be criticized without becoming victims of systemic criticism.

Defensively, you were atrocious. You won't win any titles with defense that cannot get a single stop in a whole half of football. Not one.

How many points did we score in the second half?
It was team loss. A few long drives in the second half would have given the defense some help.
Time of possession is important also.

I actually doubt Nuss would be any better than JD but at least watching Nuss is fun.

This is the exact same as Jordan Jefferson was. Even when we won games, they were boring and tedious to watch as our offense couldn't ever make it down the field.

If Alabama beat us by 60 points with Nuss in the game, at the very least Nuss would make the game look interesting. If Bama beats us this year it's going to look exactly like the 2011 title, with JD going 3 and out over and over because the 5-6 yard routes arent open.

I agree with you though still dropped passes by the WR and BK just would not change.
Hilton, Anderson. Anyone

I agree. And you had opportunities to extend drives on critical 3rd downs when the momentum was going the other way. The protection was good, the throw was good, and you drop the ball. Drive/momentum killers.

I don't want to shite on a college kid but I am beginning to wonder if the lights are just too bright for Kyren Lacy. We saw the great catch in the spring game and we saw his athleticism with the ball in his hands but he's just consistently had too many drive killing major drops when the game is tight.

Just look at Mason Taylor. On a big 3rd and 6, he catches the ball and gets 8. Huge conversion from a big moment player. Kyren gets his opportunity ina big spot and drops the ball. I think Hilton at least deserves a chance.
