Why do I feel like the good of this season has come to an end?

Like its been a great year so far but the curtain is closing. With the aggravating signing day today and Clyde possibly being finished it just feels like we are back to the old LSU. The LSU that doesn't win national championships, the LSU that doesn't win Heismens, the LSU that isn't ranked #1.
Not unlike waking up from a great dream.
