Assuming the game is being played in TS, who is the crowd rooting for?

Lol the 07 defense got torched by Kentucky, Bama, Arkansas, Auburn

Faced 8 ranked opponents and gave up an average of less than 24 points.

The Arky and Kentucky games were 3OT losses - so that's a crazy amount of points after regulation.

It was not as dominant or smothering as the 2011 defense, or even the 2006, I agree with that - but outstanding when it counted.

Recall we defeated Florida, Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee that season - you might say that's easy, but it's literally happened 2 or 3 times since the 1890s (all under Miles, BTW). I don't have a good explanation for Arky, but in Kentucky's 5 losses, they averaged 4 TDs per game. They also beat FSU in the MC Bowl that season.

The better question is 03 vs 11 and 06 vs 07?

2011 is the best team LSU has ever had. Now with that being said, I would love to see the 2003 vs. 11 team

Score might be 9-6

2011 by a lot. People forget that 2007 lost to two unranked teams.

11’ LSU, that defense was flat out mean. Them boys hurt a lot of feeling that year.

2011 Defense would handle the 07 offense pretty well, and we would only need to move the ball enough to score once or twice to win.

2011 LSU - 20
2007 LSU - 13

If both teams are healthy, probably '07. '11 would still have the better defense, but the '07 defense was still very good until injuries took a toll and led to shootouts games. The '07 offense was miles ahead of '11 and could beat you running or throwing.

7 beats 11 because the '07 team had a very good offense with Flynn, Williams, Hester, Byrd, Doucet, LaFell and Dickson along with Charles Scott on offense. It would be close though, because both defenses were exceptional. The '11 defense might have been the best defense the Tigers EVER had

'07 Defense was nothing to sneeze at either with Dorsey, Jackson, et al

"07 because somehow Hester finds himself breaking through the box late on a 3rd and 2 with 1:45 left. '07 wins 17 -14

Yes they were. If you gave that defense a 10 point lead, you might as well call the game...of course the defense would be directly responsible for 7 of those 10 points

2011 team by 12.5 points.

Would be the average score if they played 1,000 times.

A graphic I put together. 2003/2007/2011 teams were very all very good. In my opinion, if you put Flynn or Mauck on 2011 and I think you end up with a better team. If you put Jefferson or Lee on either of the others, I think they suffer a little.
