I know we won the game stupid the defense giving up 533 yards of offense was the point not the final score. Only an a-hole would argue with someone's opinion about a hypothetical inner squad game.

2011 with Jarrett Lee before JJ came back would beat 2007.
This. People don't seem to remember how efficient the offense was before Jefferson returned and Lee was at the helm. The only team Lee struggled against was Alabama. He was good enough to beat all the other teams on the schedule. The return of Jefferson was actually a net negative for the offense, except for Bama.

if only facts didnt prove other wise.
our best month offensively(yards per play)was November.
and JLee struggled against more than just bama.

But God I remember how frustrating that offense was even then.
Tied for 16th in the country(tied for 1st in the sec ) in offensive points per game

Why does 2011 get both QBs stats but 07 doesn't?
07 Flynn/Perrilloux
29 tds
3,101 yards
13 Ints
58%
659 yards rushing
6 rush tds
2011 Lee/JJ
20 tds
2,043 yards
5 Ints
61%
377 yards rushing
3 rush tds
2 NFL QBs vs 2 below avg college QBs, 07 by a mile.

11 beats any team besides 11 bama and 01 Miami
Actually we did beat one of these. I would take 11 LSU over any team in CFB history except 01 Miami. And even that would be a game.

Say what you want but 1995 Nebraska would have RUN through the 2011 LSU team.. AND with JJ as QB LSU would have trouble even moving the ball on that 1995 NEB team......... And as far as 2001 Miami??? 2011 LSU would not stand A chance against that team...............

95 Nebraska is the greatest college football team of all time. 2011 LSU is the only team to be shutout in a national title game yet somehow they're the greatest college team ever per the rant lmao. Miles worshippers they're hilarious.

That front 7 would have posed some problems for Nebraska's option.
And I would pick 01 Miami on a neutral field, but it would be an epic battle.
And Madking, now that the years have gone by its much easier not to care about that bogus mulligan and appreciate that we won every game, and that the second best team that year needed two tries to beat us.

2011 beats 2007 in every way, on any field, at any time, and forever. That 2011 team is a top 5 team all time in college history.

Top 3 - with 01 Miami and 95 Nebraska

The only thing bogus is saying we won every game when we didnt. And btw Bama was a better team that season, they outplayed us in both games. It took 4 or 5 missed field goals and a stupid call by Saban for us to win the first game, then we were crushed in the most non competitive championship game ever.

We weren't even the best team in 2011 but it's a top 5 team of all time? That Bama team isn't even their best ever much less a top 5 team all time. What's the reasoning for overrating that 2011 team so passionately? I mean I loved that team and season but that's nowhere close to an all time top 5 team.

95 nebraska is the goat.
2001 Miami was never considered the goat until everyone realized how much talent they had years after.

depends on when they played. Early on or title game, probably '07. Anywhere in the middle '11 wins.

yeah you cant be a top 5 team without a title.

Nobody talks about that 2005 team. I would love to see how that season would have played out if it wasn't for hurricane Katrina where we didn't have a bye week all season. Even if we would have went undefeated we would have been left out like auburn did the year before because USC and Texas were #1 and #2 all year. I think that 2005 team could beat 2007 team and they both had the same record.

We beat every opponent on the schedule. The number two team got a media-driven BS rematch. There is no question that we were the best team that year.
As far as historical comparisons, that's always tough and somewhat subjective. But NFL talent is one way, and that team had some of the best players currently in the league:
Beckham
Landry
Mathieu
Reid
Brokers
Logan
Wing
All superstars, and then the tons of solid NFL starters.
