Lmao no question? The "number 2" team out scored us by a double digit average per game that year. You're right there's no question Bama was better than us that year. There's also no question the 2011 team isn't a top 10 all time team. Nobody outside of the state of Louisiana will ever rank that team in their all time top 25, that I can promise you. Lol only on the rant can a team that didn't even win a national title be called an all time top 5 team. We have the most delusional fans on earth.

I respectfully disagree. I believe what I see and I saw one of the greatest defenses of all time and an offense that was good enough. I remember all of the immovable object vs irresistable force games of the century over the years. The 2011 team is the most underrated. But they did win a title. The SEC. Anyway I’m not one to fight through this and I appreciate your perspective.

Normally I would agree that a team has to have a natty to be in the GOAT discussion. 2011 was an anomaly though, and deserves special consideration.
Go back and look at all of the teams LSU beat that year. To say we weren't the best that year is just absurd.

2007 needed a 28-point underdog to win for them to have a shot at the national title.

Agree with geauxtro the defense was great but the QB was horrible and the overall offense was below avg. and no that's not an anomaly the U beat the number 1 and 2 team in 2000 and had the same record of one of those teams yet they were leapfrogged by that team and didn't get to play for a national title. Things like this happen all the time in college football, what happened for us in 07 is an even bigger outlier. Using an excuse like the opponent was unfai is an enormous cop out. We had a home game vs a team we already beat and didn't cross the 50. 2011 maybe an all time defense but not close to an all time team. Btw how is it absurd when the national title team had an avg win margin of 2 scores against us?

Not true that argument was about Lee, ive never said Perrilloux wasn't an NFL QB why would I say that when it's common knowledge he was? 2011 was certainly the best / most enjoyable CALANDER YEAR of football I’ve experienced in my 35 years. And in my mind, they def beat 07 head to head
