I shot my biggest public land buck this year 30 seconds after shooting a pig. Pig went crashing thru the palmettos and the buck came running to see what all the commotion was about.

I've been hunting TW since 2015. The first 5 years we hunted I would see 8-10 mature bucks a year. Since they opened up all the extra firearm seasons and everyone started shooting 2 year old bucks, I maybe see 1 or 2 good bucks a year.

Sequoyah National if you want to make the hour drive to Cherokee, NC. Beautiful course and the views are amazing. There's also a couple of easy waterfall hikes in the area if your into that. Mingo Falls and Soco Falls.
