2011 went 1-1 against an all time great CFB team and beat everyone else by 2 TDs, including 2 teams that won BCS bowls.

2007 lost to 2 teams that finished with 5 losses, and played 6 games decided by 1 score.

Anyone who picks 2007 needs a lobotomy.

Wouldn't go that far. I think the 2007 team, much like the rest of the country, fell victim to all the craziness that happened that year. Every week that season, you knew there would be atleast 2 major upsets we just couldn't pinpoint where they would be. We just happen to be on the bad side of two of those weeks.

2011 with Jarrett Lee before JJ came back would beat 2007.

As long as we're doing hypotheticals, can I Frankenteam the 2007 offense with the 2011 defense and put them up against any college team ever?

Yea, they fell victim to that craziness because they weren't a great team. Thankfully you don't have to be a great team to win a Natty, just better than every other team that season.

2011 the leadership was outstanding.

But God I remember how frustrating that offense was even then.

Honey badger single handily took over games and turned them in our favor.

Okay bull fricking shite. That team's resume was the best in the country and was stockpiled with NFL talent. You could watch that team and just tell they were a special team.

"11 defense would skullfrick Flynn He would throw at least 2 ints"

Perhaps, but Flynn would also make some plays. Are you saying Jarrett Lee or Jordan Jefferson would be racking up numbers against Glenn Dorsey and the boys? I doubt that!

Check the avg scoring margin (margin of victory).
LSU 2011 with that year's #1 SOS in FBS, had the highest MoV since Wingard's 10-0 bad boys of 1908.

IIRC it went like this give or take a couple 10ths
2011 +26ppg
2003 22ppg
2006 21ppg
2007 +18ppg (around #10 SOS)

2007 they had enough offense to score a couple times on the 2011 defense. That 2011 defense was great but had a couple of bad games. Remember West Virginia lit the 2011 defense up and if Jefferson is QB for 2011 it's a blowout.

Jlee/JJ 2011 combo had a better year than Flynn in 2007.

Flynn
21 tds
11int
56.3 compl %
125.8 qb rating

JLee/JJ
20 tds
5 ints
both had a qb rating above 138
both had a completion % 61 or above

this notion that Flynn was a good qb just isnt true.

he had 54% completion and a qb rating of 118 in sec games in 07

away from TS he had 6 tds and 5ints in 07

in our losses in 2007 flynn had a completion % of 47.6 and a qb rating of 95.

2011 runs 2007 out of the stadium.

2007 lost to freaking Arkansas and Kentucky. 2011 beat every single team on one of the most difficult schedules ever.

thats what i think. our 2007 offense was good because of our rushing attack( ran for 3000 yards)
