The Matt Canada sample size is a bit too small, so he should not be counted as of now.

So who was it?

I would agree with you, but it was obvious that Jimbo and Les had a different opinion on the offensive direction.

I think that was just where it - kind of - came to a head. Remember we scored a combined 25 points in the 2 regular season losses in 2004 (@Auburn and @UGA)?

A lot of folks projected their anger at Saban (leaving on Christmas Eve or whatever, AND losing the Bowl game) onto Fisher that year. I think the folks were happy with the offense in 2005 and then, with 2006 - we have two regular season losses (combined 13 points to Auburn and Florida, both games on the road, again, I might add) - I think that grumbling was the nudge Jimbo needed to head to Tallahassee.

The correct answer, is of course Jimbo. This man would be head coach today if only the news media and the collective powers that be had kept their mouths shut in late 2015 when Les Miles was having his troubles.

BS on Jimbo. The majority of the fan base didn't like him and we were ecstatic to get the wizard Crowton. We haven't had an OC we've loved for as long as I can remember.

The last with support was Jimbo, but there was grumbling late in his tenure.

I think Morris Watts is the best OC I've seen at LSU.

We were so naive back then thinking that game was on Jimbo.

If only we knew what was to follow over the next decade when it came to Les's meddling.

that would be my guess
back in the infancy of the internet and not every game in country was on TV.
