Man at 6’2” 200 lbs back then, Casanova was a beast.

best all around, Jamal Adams.

guy I'd like to get hit by the least, LaRon Landry.

some people might consider Tyrann Mathieu a safety. if so, that changes things.

Imo debate is Casanova vs Honey Badger

Casanova had the better career; however, TM7 arguably had the best single season for a defensive player in NCAA history.

As a pure safety, I'd probably lean towards Adams.

As stated before, Cassanova was a corner at LSU.

If we are considering Mathieu a safety, he's the BEST. But, he played a lot of corner and nickel.

Adams was the best pure, full-time safety. He was outstanding in coverage, run support and blitzing.

I think Casanova played CB for the Tigers. But he would have been a great safety, RB or Wr. He was also a great punt returner.

This guy's name has come up twice in this thread. You are both wrong because he played LB, not safety.

Four pages and no Greg Jackson.

This thread is a fricking fraud.

You didn't read all 4 pages or else you would've seen AlwysATgr's post on p. 2.

FTR, Greg Jackson was a great safety in the 80s. Glad I'm not the only one mentioning him.

Landry and it’s not close. Chad Jones was popular but wasn’t a great player. He had a huge play vs Bama and sweet punt return and a bunch of missed assignments in between.

The years I would Look at

2018 Delpit: 74 tackles 9.5 TFL 5 Sacks 5 Picks 1 FR 1 FF

2016 Adams: 76 tackles 7.5 TFL 1 sack 1 Pick 1 FR 1 FF

2007 Steltz: 101 tackles 5 TFL 1 sack 6 Picks (125 yards)

Not how I remember Chad at all. He was the best tackler of anyone mentioned.
