I'm sure Flau will, but also Poa, HVL, and MW will get some time. The question is who is CC gaurding? She doesnt like to get up and gaurd. Carson dropped bombs on her soft coverage last year.

Every time Flau’jae gets Clark on her we need to spread out and let her go to the hole. I think she’s quicker than Clark and Clark can get grabby.

The better question is who’s gonna guard Aneesah & Angel?

Let Clark get in foul trouble. I like it.

“She’s just a great player,” Johnson said. “Last year I got to switch on her early in the game, and I was like, ‘She’s not going to pull that for real,’ and then she pulled it for real from half court, and she made it. I was like, whoa. Kind of had spurts and moments getting in switches with her. “So it’ll be a good display for me. It’s just like I want to compete at the highest level, and right now Caitlin is the highest level. So if I can defend her, try to contain her and get the win, we’ll be fine. There’s no stopping her, but containing her, I’m going to take on that challenge.”

Just my two cents, I think it’s split between Flau’jae and Hailey. Flau’jae has the athleticism to be a mismatch on CC and Hailey is like a water bug out there, she’ll do a good job preventing CC from getting the ball as much which will make for fewer shot opportunities. Ideally.

I hope we man up and don’t get crossed up on screens….clark has been killing the others on passes to open shooters and cutters to the goal

I assume Marshall will be on Van Lith. If Clark isn’t on Flau’jae I guess they could put her on Williams. That’s probably the safest bet to keep her out of foul trouble and rested.

FlauJae is the heartbeat of the team.

The only thing that concerns me with her guarding Clark is the opportunity for the refs to impact the game with ticky tack bullshite on FlauJae.

It's been discussed in other threads, but I like the idea of Flau guarding their number 2 option and helping force Clark to do everything herself.
