Is there still any chance, I’ve been checked out with life and work, but read somewhere that LSU could still make one. What needs to happen?

Basically win all series left and likely sweep one or two of them. So 0%

2011 team swept 2, won 2/3, & lost 2/3 to go 9-3 over that stretch finishing (13-17) & still missed the postseason.

Even 13-17 seems impossible for this team

1. Win 8 of the remaining 9 SEC games
2. Win 7 and they are MAYBE in
3. Win the SEC tourney

Basically whatever combination you want to get to 13 SEC wins in the regular season. Can’t drop anymore midweek games too. The path I see is sweep South Carolina this weekend at home. Take 2 out of 3 from Georgia and Florida. It can be done if we get Casan Evans back and the bullpen pitches to their capability.

If the 50 teams ahead of us can't make it to the regional and decline the offer due to covid or something then we would slide right into their slot. simple as that.

Sweep USC and win the next 2 series. An SEC team with 13 wins has never not made the tournament in the current format. Winning 1 in Hoover would then really lock it up.

This

IMO, we have to get to 13 SEC wins minimum; no more midweek losses.

13 wins are no guarantee but less than that, we would have to win the SECT.

Even if we reached 13 SEC regular season wins (a pipedream), our RPI will still be outside of bubble range. We’d need 2 wins at a minimum in SECT to bump those metrics up into the bubble conversation. I think I saw we are currently 4-15 in Q1 games. That’s atrocious. Sweeping South Carolina won’t change that metric. Winning series vs Georgia and Florida still won’t make that metric appetizing to the committee (8-17). shite, even if we win 2 games in SECT, it’ll still be abhorrent (10-19). Talking through this, it really is either reach 14 regular season SEC wins or win SECT.

Sweep South Carolina
win 2/3 at UGA
win 2/3 against UF

win one in Hoover

None of this is likely to happen. The odds of all 4?
