Which one? The one he didn’t score on was probably better than the one he did score on.

A solid Top 7 would be:

Billy Cannon, Halloween (Ole Miss, 1959)

Hodson to Fuller and an Earthquake (Auburn, 1988)

Nix to Twilley, "Bring Back the Magic" (Auburn, 1995)

Faulk's 80-yard run to start the 2nd half against Houston (Houston, 1996)

The Bluegrass Miracle, (@Kentucky, 2002)

Hester's "Longest Yard" (Florida, 2007)

Burreaux's 3rd and 17 against Texas (@Texas, 2019)

But, realistically, we could have a Top 5 just against Auburn and Ole Miss. Hell, the Halloween game in 1959 also had the goal line stand including the dramatic 4th down play.

It’s not the greatest but one I love is Chad Jones goal line stand against MSU.

Id Go: 1. Bluegrass Miracle 2. Flynn to Byrd was amazing 3. Billy Cannon run (Ive seen it a bunch, Amazing, but i wasnt alive yet) 4. Burrow to JJ 3rd and 17. 5. Leonard Fournette run was Legendary.

Other just awesome ones: Either Tyrann Mathieu strip/pick for a TD, one vs West Virginia and one vs oregon. HIs returns vs Arky and Georgia.

And the One play that couldve taken over Joes conversion on 3rd and 17 for his heisman moment wouldve been against Mississippi State when his pants got pulled down; if he would just shed the pants and run butt naked down field for the TD. Lol

Perhaps not "the greatest", but a noteworthy one was the reverse against Alabama in 2010 on a 4th and short at around mid-field. It was a quintessential Les Miles call that we used to love to cheer for before his fall from grace.

Fournette’s run vs Auburn where he broke a tackle before flipping the DB over his head was up there for “best display of dominance over your opponent”

There were at least 3 career highlight reel runs in that game - the flip, the trample and the "trick shot" (I don't know how else to describe knocking one defender into another causing them to look like they had been hit by a bus.)

Since 2000

Mauk to Green. Georgia just scored. Instead of the fans and team displaying the “brook trout look”, the stadium went nuts as the Tigers prepared to receive the kickoff. The energy set the time for the next 2 minutes. Mauk hit Green and LSU became relevant again.

1980–2000 Hudson to Fuller

1960-1980. Jones to Davis

Great play, but not even close to Cannon's. This was #1 LSU against #3 Ole Miss. LSU trailed in the game which was a defensive struggle, making those seven points much more important.

I don't know if it's the best, but 3rd and 17 will always be my personal favorite. I think Matthew McConaughey's reaction puts it over the top for me.

Show some love for Cade York 57 yards in the fog.

That might be the greatest kick in college football history.

One of my favorite games to rewatch. The Les years were fun….. sometimes. Was definitely a great play. I also remember JJs reaction to a TD pass he threw in that game. It was genuine excitement from the kid.
