One play I’ll never forget is the Bluegrass miracle. I’m not sure where most of you would rate it but it’s got to be the top one for me. I’m not really considering stakes or anything in this. Curious on others opinion.

Cannon’s run was obviously the greatest for a number of reasons.

I’ve always loved TM7’s strip and score vs Kentucky (but that wouldn’t top a best of list)

Fournette’s run vs Auburn where he broke a tackle before flipping the DB over his head was up there for “best display of dominance over your opponent”

ETA: The over-the-head, no-look fake FG was an incredible call and fantastic to watch.

A lucky play for an 8-5 team.

Cannon's punt return extended a winning streak to 19 straight games across 3 seasons.

I was with a group of guys on a golf trip at Perdido Key. We were listening to the game on the radio while playing at Kiva Dunes. We switched the radio off in disgust when it appeared an LSU loss to Kentucky was imminent. So we had no idea how the game ended.

While unloading our clubs in the parking lot an Auburn fan said “How about that LSU game?” We thought he was giving us a hard time, We went inside the clubhouse for drinks and everyone was talking about the ending but we just couldn’t believe it until we saw the game highlights on the clubhouse TV. The drinks flowed more freely after that.

Bert Jones to Brad Davis last-second TD to beat Ole Miss in 1972. I was there.

I think the Earthquake Game is talked about almost as much as Cannon's run.

So was I. I was a freshman in Tiger Band. I had a couple of classes with Brad Davis the next year. He admitted that he lost the ball in the lights, caught it by feel only, then didn't know if he was in bounds. The thunderous cheer moments later let him know the outcome.

I would say Cannon's run and the fact it actually happened...

Ole Miss players were moving pre-snap with no penalty called..

Coach Vaught told his kicker to kick it out of bounds and he didn't...

Coach Dietzel told Billy not to field punts that close to the end zone, but he did...

and the rest is history...

Here's a few great plays that would be in the top 15 or so:

Mauk to Green 2003 UGA
Mathieu punt return 2011 UGA
Kennison punt return 1994 Miss State
Cedric Donaldson Pick 6 1997 Florida
Eric Reid interception 2011 Alabama

So many, but I agree. And Idk why you got a downvote for saying the bluegrass miracle. I still get chills and a little giddy when I watch it with Hawthorne on the call. “Randall stops, throws it as far as he can.... Caught! Caught! Touchdown LSU. I Do Not Believe it!”

I’m going with 3rd and 17.

Not making that had the potential to derail the most magical CFB of all time in hindsight.
