Was there ever a more dominant 3 game period for LSU football than the SECCG, Playoff, and CFB Championship games?

We dominated, no actually destroyed 3 quality opponents in a row. With the exception of OU these were the best of the best that season and we didn't struggle with them at all.

I would throw the A&M game in the mix but they sucked in 2019.

Will never forget someone on ESPN saying that LSU and Clemson were even in QB play when comparing the rosters leading up to the game. Craziest take ever considering the season Joe was having. They wanted to crown Lawrence so bad it hurt.

Several were saying Lawrence was better than Joe before that game. Some still after before the draft. Cowherd. Max. Steven A.

I thought we might score 100 pts that game.

Thing is, we could’ve done it easily if we wanted to. Our offense was on an absolute roll at the end of the season. Well really the entire season but especially closing it out.

We dominated Ole Miss too. Defense took a well deserved break from hitting people in the second half. Ole Miss's defense played the entire game like that

Georgia had the #1 scoring D and we destroyed them and then Clemson had the #1 scoring D and we destroyed them too.

63-28. Could have easily put up another 37 points on OU if so desired. It would have made the game even more enjoyable.

Joe had 7 td passes in the first half alone against Oklahoma. I don't think I'll ever see that again.

No they didn’t.

They had a brutal schedule that year. Five top ten matchups they all lost but they ran the table otherwise. They played Georgia very tough in Athens the weekend before we humiliated them.

Myself and my crew were at this game in Atlanta. Let’s just say where we were sitting was a bunch of LSU fans and we were wore out from high 5’s and yelling by halftime. Not a bad problem to have

I remember looking at the stats before the UGA SEC title game and going “man he’d have to average like 5 TDs a game the rest of the way to get that record. That’s probably not happening”, then the dude put up 16 TDs in 3 games. Video game stuff man

Go ahead and include the A&M Game in that as well. 4 games in a row..

We won that game 50-7 and were up 34-0 when they finally scored late in the 3rd quarter.

We were at that game, and there was a middle-aged guy sitting near us, alone, in regular street clothes except wearing an Alabama hat. Watching him, it was clear that he was something of a Jalen Hurts fan. Never yelled or showed any real emotion, but he would clap only when Jalen did something clap-worthy.

That's how it started out anyway.

By the end of the 1st quarter, he was remarking (aloud, to no one in particular) about Joe and his play. By halftime, he was clapping for JOE.

Guy must have essentially be a student/fan of quarterback play. Joe made a dude in a Bama cap clap for LSU.

I wouldn't say LSU "didn't struggle at all" with Clemson. LSU trailed 17-7 at one point and didn't take the lead until 5:00 in the 2nd quarter. It was a 3 point game towards the end of the 3rd before LSU would eventually start to put it away.

The SECCG was dominance over what was the best defense in the country. The OU game may be the most dominant performance in any CFP game to date. I know the final margin of victory for Alabama over Michigan St was greater (38-0), but the only reason is because LSU completely took their foot off the gas midway through the 3rd quarter. It was 49-14 at the half and 56-14 with 10 minutes to go in the 3rd. LSU could have easily scored 80+ that game. Alabama was only up 10-0 at the half before a 21 point 3rd quarter put MSU away.
