Lol you think state is equal? They have the best stadium in the country.
Arky is probably next then usce
We are at best 4th but likely worse. I could at least see an argument for 8th which would put us bottom half.

As long as the box has the cheap arse metal bleacher look it won't be top 5.

Before a penny is spent updating Alex Box, the lower bowl of Tiger Stadium needs to be replaced.

Looks like it will make one hell of a TopGolf in the offseason.

1. Our player development facilities are topnotch. That influences prospective recruits more than the style of our stadium.
2. I agree with just about every criticism of Alex Box Stadium. They should relocate the bullpens this offseason which would not be a big expense.
3. Doing something about the PMAC far surpasses any need to redesign Alex Box. At least 4 sports use that facility.

I agree with all of these fwiw. I just care about baseball most so I’m not making any PMAC threads.

I agree. While it sucks to be falling behind with Alex Box, we've been behind for decades with the PMAC. Whenever there is rain coming through the roof in the practice facility and fricking rats in the concourse area, that needs to be priority

Yes the players stuff is probably the best in the country.
I disagree on the pmac. it is probably dead last or near dead last in conference but would rather Alex box get the upgrades first considering the state of men’s basketball.

If we still had the General I’d be all in on pmac threads, but as it stands baseball is in a better spot and it’s stadium continues to fall behind even though we have some blind fans that can’t see it.

I just watched an Ole Miss coach rank AB second best in SEC. Our fans are the biggest crybaby pussies I’ve ever seen. Complain we don’t have a fricking berm, cry about refs and umps to no end, complain about a facility that made other teams build/renovate to keep up…it’s ridiculous how much y’all cry I really hope y’all are under 35 yrs old

I'm sure left fielders will love that curved wall.

Honestly saying the box is at worst tied with dudy is probably a top 5 rantard take.
That’s sad as frick we are with Mizzou in our cheap bleachers

You mean the coach who played here and whose mentor had the stadium built
How fricking dumb are you ?

Nobody is saying the player development facilities are behind tho. It’s specifically about the box which impacts the fan experience. Everyone else is in a rat race for creating the best fan experience possible, and we haven’t done anything meaningful in that area since building the stadium.
The fan facing area of the PMAC isn’t great, but apparently the facilities within it is much worse. They need a complete remodel, but at minimum they will have to fix up the player facilities immediately. Will Wade used to talk about having to hide areas of the facilities from recruits because the ceiling was falling down.

I had no idea.

You’re right. They curved it during their last Reno. Used to look like this:

You really think an Ole Miss coach is going to say. The Dude down at State is the best damn stadium in the country

Apparently it’s going to take somebody getting hurt before we get rid of the high school bullpens at LSU.
You guys cry about the dumbest things. It’s an advantage for LSU to have bullpens on the field because we play and practice with them all season while many other teams don’t. The fact that this is public enemy one for our fans about that park is laughable.
The windscreen batters eye is 100% high schoolish. That’s not even expensive to take replace. I figured that would have been replaced year 2. Can’t believe it’s still standing. But even as cheap as that is, the batter’s eye isn’t the worst thing about the park, just the most obvious “we went cheap” part.
For the fan experience, the bleacher seats all the way down the foul line and the 40 year old bleachers in the outfield are the first thing that needs to be fixed to help the fans. Look at all other parks around the SEC and it’s obvious that the LSU fans have been taken for granted by the administration. “They will show up anyway”.
