I would not bank on 9-9 even getting us in the tournament with how bad the SEC looks this season. It's seriously taken a gigantic step back. IF we go with just 1 loss in non-conf, maybe, but we would be nowhere near a 6/7 seed with a 9-9 conference record

The SEc might only be a 6 or 7 bid league this season.

I seriously disagree with this. The SEC currently has the most top 50 teams in the NET rankings, Ken Pom rankings, and Evan Miya. Every metric shows that the SEC is currently the deepest conference. Is the league overall as good as last year? No, but to say its a "gigantic" step back is nonsense. The SEC will still get somewhere around 10 bids.
Boston College will be an away game and the other two are neutral games so BC will be a Q3 game and the other two will be Q1 games
They played extremely well on both sides of the ball against Depaul. The next three games (maybe not Boston college because they're pretty terrible) should give a better glimpse into how this team performs against better competition. But so far, so good
I still don't quite understand what the media is so fricking up in arms about. Lane made it clear that he wanted to continue coaching at OM through the playoffs. OM said no, which they felt like was best for them. Wtf was Kiffin supposed to do? Refuse to leave and scew over the school even more?
If Ole Miss loses this week Kiffin may not be our next coach. Not because he won't accept our offer or doesn't want the job, but because OM fans may kill him
Something that LSU, OM, and UF fans can all unite behind
So no new news, just someone whining?

just noticed Newman dropping down to 2A. That district is a mess.

Newman has pretty much always been 2A…

Comment threw me off for a second, had to go look up to make sure I wasn't dreaming that Newman has been in 2A for a very long time

There's a couple websites that do CBB metrics, but I use EvanMiya

The advanced metrics from last night weren't too bad. Robert Miller rated as the best overall player last night mainly driven by his defensive rating which was significantly higher than anyone else on the team. DJ and MacKinnon were the two highest rated offensive players obviously. PJ Carter was a liability defensively last night though it wasn't the biggest sample size so it'll be interesting to see how that changes as he gets more games.

Overall the defensive metrics weren't very good outside of Miller, which isn't surprising given the trend under mcmahon

ESPN Bet has atrocious promos and boosts

"Here's a 20% for your parlay, 4+ legs minimum, each leg (-200) or better, and it has to be a SGP"
No wonder why people are losing

Not to mention that you have to be careful of how big of a parlay you hit using their promos. They will pull your promos in a heartbeat if they catch you doing too well with them. They started doing mass promo pulls a few months ago and once I saw that I knew they were done for.

Not saying this is not the case, but what do you base this statement off of?
Listened a bit to his forum earlier today. He talked A LOT about the satellite campuses (particularly mentioned Eunice, Alexandria, and UNO quite a bit). On the surface that's not a bad thing and can actually be a very good thing. But my concern is that he wants to focus on these smaller schools because that's what he's more comfortable with coming from Mcneese as opposed to being involved in the day to day of the BR campus. But the reality is, until they make the decision to split the roles and have a chancellor for BR, managing the system from a "bottom up" perspective as opposed to "top down" by focusing on satellites first and the main campuse second seems like it could potentially lead to some serious issues
If you really think Frank Wilson as HC or 74 year old nick saban are the long term answers to our current problems, I got some ocean front property I can sell you...

Well, he is also saying that the buyout funds were NOT secured before BK was fired. Whoever made THAT decision needs to be fired immediately.... you absolutely never fire a coach with a contract like that without securing the funds FIRST

Yeah, mark me down as being skeptical that Landry is being fully truthful here

He wasn’t wrong about the state being on the hook in the event of a default.

Correct, but to pretend as if this is a new occurence or as if there is any way around them not being the guarantor is completely disingenuous on Landry's part. As matt and others have said, there is no precedent for any state having to cover the cost of a coach's buyout and if LSU did not have the donors/money to buy him out, they would not have fired kelly.

He was however wrong about LSU Athletics being tax payer funded. And when Mascona pressed him on it, he side stepped it
Saw this post this morning from a friend that shared it so I went to the 13th Gate's website. They do not claim that its a real seance. They explicitly say multiple times that its a theatrical act that includes light and sound affects which is part of the reason for the warning. I understand what the priest is saying here and anyone who really thinks that this is a true seance should avoid it. But to me this is nothing more than an interactive scary "movie".

Y’all need to chill out with all this character assassination on #18. It’s ridiculous

Who's attacking his character? All we are pointing out is that Nuss goes from looking like he's out there limping with a broken leg to looking perfectly fine in a matter of seconds. And it doesn't happen once or twice a game, but multiple times a drive. You can ignore that all you want, but you have to admit that at the least its peculiar

he comes up gimpy

hate to say it - but I have suspicion he is faking that limp a number of times.

I have that same opinion. It doesn't matter where or how hard he seems to get hit, he gets up limping and it seemingly disappears by the time the ball is snapped for the next play. I have no idea whether its on purpose or subconscious, but to me if his knee or ankle was truly injured to the point that he was limping that badly he would at least be pulled for a play to evaluate him, yet he stays in and as I said, the injury seems to disappear after he makes a good play
