They barely beat a team that lost to Arizona last week.

The media force-feeding the narrative again.

The fact that they had to keep somebody ahead of LSU after Tennessee lost shows their bias. They don’t want a 2-loss team in it even if they are one of the 4 most deserving teams.

Stop right there. That’s lazy and irrelevant.

Oh, you’re gonna do this. Great.

It will all work itself out after the OSU/Mich game and if we happen to beat UGA, wouldn't worry about it.

ND is going to route USC. They don’t play defense and ND finally learned how 5 games in.

And if LSU beats UGA they will move ahead of USC. It doesn't matter at all

Eh, not that surprising.

All things being equal, they are a one-loss conference leader 11 games into the season.

And it really doesn't matter. I personally don't think LSU needs anyone to lose a game to get into the playoff - win two games to get to 11-2 SEC Champ and we are in. The real question will be does a 12-1 UGA get in above a (theoretically) 12-1 Pac-12 Champ USC?

And we barely beat Arkansas with their 2nd and 3rd string quarterbacks playing. Bottom line, our resume is looking weaker than it did before and USC's resume is getting stronger.

It’s fine.

We beat UGA and there’s no question anymore.

They haven't moved ahead in the one poll that matters yet.

We will see that poll tomorrow.

The rest of the country is tired of the SEC and only one team west of the Mississippi has a shot. That is a lot of viewers.

...they are a one loss Power 5 conference leader. You'd have to be a brain dead homer to assume anything else.

CFP committee does not get REALLY serious until that final conf champ game is over. They will arrange the top 4 to suit themselves.

LSU just needs to beat Texas A&Forfeit

It has 1 loss, while LSU has 2. Pretty simple.

If this happens, Im more worried about the bias to put Notre Dame in the top 4 than I am USC

Rankings are dynamic, not a spot in line. Sometimes it’s about what a team has recently done.

Discussion and debate is fun, but complaining at this point is a waste of time.

It's sort of a mute point at this point in time. Reality and order will play out and be evident after this weekend and next. I feel they probably have teams in this order now based mostly on what they feel is most likely to happen over the next 2 weeks.

The winner of LSU/Georgia is the SEC champ and is in. If USC wins out, the PAC 12 champ is in. Whoever wins the Big 10 championship is in. And then it comes down to TCU. If they win the Big 12 that makes 4. I think this would be the ideal for the voters and what they envisioned when they went to a 4 team tournament.

Now if either of the mentioned pac or big 12 teams should fall, then they look at the 2 usual suspects, Clemson and Alabama, and the Big 10 loser if the championship game is a tight one. It would be tough to not take a Conference Champ like Clemson with their record being as good or better than anyone left. I think Alabama and both Mich/Ohio St are better teams than Clemson, but it really isn't a power poll or power ranking, is it?

Sorry, if LSU loses to Georgia, there is just no way they could or should qualify. If they win, I don't see how they could not put them in. If Georgia should lose, it would be the Big 12/Pac 12 champ, or both, that probably gets the shaft.

I could easily imagine a scenario of a losing Georgia and Ohio St both still getting in ahead of all the other conferences. However, there would be a lot of upset fans around the country if the 4 ended up being from just 2 conferences, like Georgia, LSU, Ohio St, and Michigan, even if they were in reality the 4 best teams.
