Most of us are pissed that BK promoted Sloan and tanked this season for this whole thing. All we heard was "Sloan is bringing Underwood, so it'll be worth it".

The money was the decider. But his official visit during the Bama game couldn't have helped. We got absolutely embarrassed in our own house.

If I had to say, this is the true beginning of the end for BK at LSU. Yes, the on field product has been pitiful but as many others here have already said, that could be smoothed over relatively well with the supposed 2025 cavalry that was coming.
There’s no sugarcoating that losing Underwood is a doozy. It’s losing a supremely high recruit at the most impactful position on the field (especially at a time when the QB position currently seems to be stuck in neutral). As bummed out as we all are at this news, I would imagine this is nothing short of crushing for the staff. I pray we can beat Vandy (never thought I’d say that) just so that we can have some smidgen of positivity in a tough month.
All that being said, the confidence level that BK can get it done here is shot. IMO, LSU needs to get off its high horse when looking for the next HC by only going with “candidates that have been a head coach already”. Getting a hungry assistant with a great football mind and recruiting prowess could be a refreshing change from the dinosaur era thinking we have now. Time will tell.

I am not sure Kelly should be fired just yet, if we lose the last two games and lose another recruit he should be GONE!
Joe Sloan should be demoted immediately if not fired outright now. Only reason he got the job. Once again it is proven that a high school player is not worth more than your current team. NEVER should have been given the job.

This is exactly why I never get attached to these recruits. It’s not a done deal until they are running out the tunnel in tiger stadium. Now more than ever.
