Think it is more protect your players you will need. He is also likely the future of the program right now, get him real reps against a Div 1 ACC team in a low pressure environment to get him experience.

If this was like year 3 and we were used to it; I think they wouldn’t. Year 1, Game 1, all this shite talk and the rain…families will leave but die hards and student likely stay

I get that, but the path of the throw took him there and forced Curiel way wide…you gotta take that into account. I get the rules today don’t, but we have been screwed over in those same exact situations.
It was a force out, contact was going to be made in that situation 100%, Catcher dropped the damn ball, he is safe. Curiel was trying to get his hands to the plate…bad ruling either interpreted or by the rule itself.

Not really. Bad defense was bailed out by Milam’s DP. Bad pitching location, bad luck yes.
