1. You are ignorant and only reinforce unfair corndog stereotypes

2. U did not have to buy five game passes. I know even reasonable Tiger fans don’t like surge pricing but that is the norm literally everywhere. My beat friend is head of ticket sales for an MLB team that has bad attendance. His team was one of the last to adopt surge pricing for yankee, red sox, cubs etc. Others across all pro and college teams, regardless of their W/L % have been doing it for years. It was an easy excuse for LSU to cancel the series and I get it that the relationship probably is more beneficial to TU than LSU. It’s just a shame that college sports have come to a point where a 80 year old rivalry in a sport where both are competitive and only an hour away can end, especially considering it also hurts the local NOLA LSU alums and boosters.
We(TU) still shares a FBall camp at your HC’s request.

Disagree on football.
Play once every 3 games in MB SUperdome as a "Classic" with ticket prices between regular Tiger Stadium prices and Jerry WOrld Kick-Off Classic prices. Allocate TUlane 20%of the tickets. Each school keeps what they sell after expenses.

Having been to a few Tulane football and baseball games in the past year or two, it’s a shame the schools don’t play. Tulane has great facilities and a fantastic gameday experience—comfortable seating, great food, locally brewed beer for sale at reasonable prices. LSU would do well to try and implement some of these things in their own gamedays.

That said, I don’t blame LSU for pulling the plug on the series after some bush league moves by the Tulane athletic department.

The last couple of times LSU played the weenies, once in the Dome, the others in TS, they did not sell out their ticket allotment. If they have no interest, why the hell should LSU care a flip?

Nola I recall this as being true. How can you explain this and ask LSU to consider doing this again if you’re own lame fan base DGAS ?

Tulane needs to go play and beat some Power 5 teams before they can claim to be equal to LSU. Play and BEAT Vandy,Ole Miss, and some other Power 5 lil sisters before beating your chest about how you are ready for the big time.
There is a reason TU plays in high school arenas in both football and basketball.
Except your role with SELA, ULL and La Tech until you prove you belong.
All football game should be in Baton Rouge. Period!

I agree that tu jacked up the prices, but......we do the same thing in football & basketball. I'm an LSU guy & I enjoy reading the cry babies (their is just not that many of them any more) on their web sites, but I can't hold price fixing against them.
I'd like to see LSU play tu in football.....5 to 1 sounds good - at the Dome, pricing equal to TS prices w/LSU getting funds equal to a home game so that the game is a wash. There aren't enough tu fans for them to sell more than 10 - 13K. The football playoff guys will give LSU more credit for playing a "traditional" foe vs. a directional school.
Re basketball, 2 or 3 to 1 is fine......why not?
Re baseball, since they are now on ESPN+ starting next year, play them home & home once a year.....put some lingo in the K that stops both schools from price fixing if that makes you happy.

LSU should never go to Tulane to play any sport IMO. If they want to play LSU they should come to us as we are not in the business of helping build other schools revenue!

Considering that literally every school who plays LSU benefits financially from doing so, I don’t think this is a good reason not to play (insert school here)

Yeah well, Loyola’s got no shot at being the 2nd best athletic university in the state.

Tulane and Georgia Tech made the mistake of reducing their investment in Athletics and leaving the SEC in the early 60s just before the TV money began to come in. Their programs still haven't recovered and most likely never will.

I graduated from Tulane for my undergrad and went on to get my masters at LSU, so I believe I have a unique perspective in that I’m a fan and Alumnus of both universities.

That said, Tulane is not, and will never be, the second best athletic school in the state. The academic standards are simply too high for any sustainable success. That title will continue to reside at UL. Sorry.

$35 for LSU game

Every other mid week game at turchin stadium was $5 a ticket. So it was actually 7× not 5 x

I embrace my ignorance douche bag.

Play Tulane? frick no.

If this is the idea of our new AD then he needs to get redirected. There is absolutely no reason for LSU to play the scum from Tulane. All they want is for LSU to legitimize them to aid their recruiting in NOLA. Hell no.

Where Tulane left the SEC there wasn't any reason for us to play them anymore especially in football...
If they can workout ticket pricing for basketball and baseball I could see that working...but Tulane screws us on baseball ticket pricing...went once but would not go back....there stadium is a tight fit and it's difficult to see down the lines....ALEX BOX blows their stadium away and it's not even close

Tulane would never stop the price gouging that they do for the LSU game. We jack up the prices for visiting fans only?

Tulane, I'd agree with you.

Georgia Tech, on the other hand, smartly got in the ACC in 1979 and their athletic program has clearly "recovered" and even prospered.

They won a national championship in football in 1990, and in basketball went to the NCAA Final Four in 1990 and 2004 (lost in championship that year). Tech's baseball team has also done really well over the years.
