Did you skip over his resume when he was at LSU from 2005-2007?

1st, it was 2007
2nd, the LSU defense did not suffer when he left.

Don't want.

I'm kind of hoping for Bill Busch but I'll trust O on whether he's ready.

We gave up 51 to Florida, 52 to Georgia and 31 to TROY the very next season.

He never won fewer than 9 at Nebraska, so how is his average below 9?

As did Miles. The game has changed since ‘07.

Unless the offenses being faced in 2005-2007 are highly similar to those to-be-faced in 2020+, abso-frickenlutely. Complete different era and game. Utterly different. 2005-2007 is irrelevant in relation to the current DC needs.

The game is now pass happy, and there is NOTHING about his DC resume that indicates he is our man.

He DCd at OU and HCd at Nebraska against Leach and the B12. He probably knows a little bit about defending against a passing offense.

I swear, some of y'all act like the forward pass was invented in 2012 and the spread/air raid/WC in 2018.

you’d be shocked how similar the numbers are

2007 - two schools averaged over 400 per game passing.
2019 - two schools averaged 400 per game passing

2007 - 14 schools averaged 300 per game passing
2019 - 16 schools averaged 300 per game passing

2007 - 17 teams averaged 450 per game total yards
2019 - 21 teams averaged 450 per game total yards

67-27 at a P5 program with recruiting limitations and 4 division titles in 4 yearsis depressing?

So O’s record of 10-25 at Ole Miss or 16-27 even with his USC stint is not?

Stupid narrative. Most of the top DCs in the country were DCs during that same era:

Aranda, Grantham, Shoop, Venables, among many others.

I'm not pro-Pellini, but I'm not pro-stupidity either.
