67-27 at a P5 program with recruiting limitations and 4 division titles in 4 yearsis depressing

That winning percentage, for a 12 game Season, projects to 8.4 games won. Big freaking yes, that's depressing. Plus his HC record is not pertinent as a DC, no more than Coach O's as a HC would predict success as a DC. It's totally different dude. Completely

Stupid narrative. Most of the top DCs in the country were DCs during that same era:

Aranda, Grantham, Shoop, Venables, among many others.

Seems like I remember Bo taking time off his new job at Nebraska to come back to LSU and coach his Tigers. His defense shut down OSU and delivered a BCSNC to LSU. The players were very happy for him and glad he was there. In fact I think Bo got the Gatorade bath.

O will get the right guy, and I have no problem with Bo as the DC. Which of the other possibilities has a National championship on his resume.

What am I missing? Is this not the guy that helped us in a natty with a very nasty, aggressive defense?

I also have concerns with Bo Pellini but everyone completely whiffed on their opinion of Orgeron so it could work out

Pellini would depress me

I'm sorry Bert, but I respectfully disagree with you. I remember all of the accolades Pelini had when he was DC at LSU, and he had some damn fine defenses. I also remember the folks on this very board who were melting when he left after the National Championship game in 2008.

I think he would do a fine job, if given the opportunity.

Don’t worry, buddy, Orgeron depressed me...until he didn’t.

Without his defense there is NO 2007 NC at LSU with Miles' offense. Just Sayin!

Miles had one of the best offenses in America that year. It was multiple, and it was imaginative.

dropped from #3 to #32 nationally.

you are swayed by a 1 year sample size?

Probably the talent on a NC team had nothing to do with Pellini’s success.

You will be the same idiots complaining about Brady’s replacement when the offense is not as good next year.
