The rant would love some Shaw. He did exactly at Stanford what Miles did here.
Harbaugh/saban built good programs up, Shaw/miles takes over and gets credit even though they can't win the big games.

This is a list of my realistic options:
1. Tom Herman- is already a coaching star. He is Urban at Utah. Will succeed wherever he goes and will win multiple nation championships. Best up and comer coaching prospect since Urban.
2. Jimbo Fisher- wouldnt lose a beat recruiting and knows how to win. Familiar with LSU and the state.
3. Fedora- winning consistently at North Carolina. Solid all around coach that may become really good with LSU talent. Wouldn't hate the choice.
4.Lane Kiffen- excellent recruiter with big time college coaching and NFL head coach experience. Being OC and succeeding for Saban would be the top of my resume. I've always hated him but he is rising in my eyes.
Wild Card Candidates:
1. Art Briles-great coach everywhere he has been but unless something comes out that proves his innocence, he won't be considered.
2. Petrino- another winner and fun to watch his Offense but the off the field shenanigans plus not well liked by his peers makes it a huge no in my opinion.
Good young coaches below Herman:
1. Franklin out of Cal.
2. Fuentes
I know there are quite a few I forgot but dud this fast on my phone.
Edit 2:
The scary disaster canidates that I could see this administration going for:
(The RC Slocum Candidate)
1. Sumlin if he gets fired.
2. Rich Rodriguez
3. Gus Malzahn
4. Mike Leach
6. Tuberville

Haven't been keeping up with rich rod lately. He still at Arizona?
His star kinda burnt out.

Fedora because he's cheapest.
This will completely be about the money.
We will soon get to relive the mud 90's.

He is still there. He has kept them winning. But he shouldn't be considered for a place like LSU.

Can we have the 90's movies, music and economic boom?

Shaw had 3 wins last season over teams who came into the game ranked in the top 6 and beat the living shite out of one of them in the Rose Bowl. In Stanford's best years their losses are usually upsets to unranked teams rather than losing the big games to ranked teams.
Now he isn't a fit here because he's basically a more organized version of Les and I doubt they'll be looking for that.

Dude loves some heavy protection packages and tight ends
that's fine when you constantly have OL and TEs drafted

any of these would be a complete disaster.
Talk about going down a 12 year rebuilding path.

pumping doubt. Works for Hillary.

Would love to have Dabo Swinney also. Doubt he would leave Clemson unless it was for the NFL or to take over for Saban.
I'm adding him to my 3rd choice. I say brake the bank for Herman, Jimbo or Dabo. Make them all say no.

LSU had a chance to hire Jimbo Fisher in 2005, but went with Les Miles. What a dumb choice with Les Miles record 28-21 at Oklahoma State. Jimbo 69-14 at Florida and a National Title 2013 and CFB Playoff appearance 2014.

Pretty sure all that was after 2005. Ya know, when jimbo had never coached a game as a head coach?
He wasn't ready to lead lsu. It may have worked out, but it Would've been a dumb hire at the time.

Break the bank and get Saban/Herman/Fisher... Make one of them the highest paid coach in college football. Don't take no for an answer. Saban first call, Herman 2nd, Fisher 3rd.
If you try and try and try and the above doesn't happen, move to the Fedora/MoraJr/Graham level candidates.
