TJ Dottery is Better than Whit Weeks

The PFF grades and play on the field speak for themselves. TJ is the superior LB to Whit and is more deserving of wearing #7. Glad that Kiffin brought him over from Ole Miss, otherwise LB would be a weakness instead of a strength.

Dottery is not having to wear the green dot. He is free to just play. I think that's the difference

A weakness? That’s stupid.
Even without Dottery, we would have had one of the best linebacker rooms in the country. With him, we have undoubtedly have the best linebacker unit in the country.
Everyone on this defense is being amplified by how good everyone around them is. Princewell is looking good because Jordan Ross is looking good. Because the ends look good, the defensive tackles are looking good. Because the defensive line looks good, the linebackers look good. Because both linebackers are amazing you can’t focus on either one of them. Because of the front seven is so good, the secondary hasn’t even been challenged yet.

without him we would have weeks and keys...thats two good linebackers. dottery is a great linebacker though, I just dont think theres a huge difference between him and weeks.

Why can't they both be good? Hell, why can't they both be elite?
And as far as jersey numbers go, I got absolutely no problem with who the team chose. Whit and Tre'dez are alphas who have been with LSU from start to finish. They aren't one year rentals.

I love TJ Dottery but lets not get crazy here. They both play extremely well off each other. Whit is set up to be a First Round Draft Pick. Dottery isn't quite there but who knows if both continue to play the way they are playing they both might be drafted in the top 2 rounds of the draft.

Weeks clearly has the physical tools, remains to be seen if he has the intelligence to break down what he’s seeing out there. As we know, Dottery is a true student of the game, and appears to have the physical tools on par with or even better than Weeks
