I don’t understand Tim at all. Why would he even have to exaggerate anything. He completed Green Beret training, Ranger School, Sniper School, and was a professional MMA fighter. That’s enough. He doesn’t need to prove himself to anyone.

i agree with you

but my opinion is that he got caught up in the vet-bro community of we're-all-friends-but-we-all-passive-aggressively-compare-ourselves-to-eachother world, and he felt his personal combat record did not compare favorably with others in the "community". might also explain why he threw himself into mercenary work in Africa - felt he had somethign to prove.

i was sitting next to a green beret en route to Kuwait during the 2021 Afghan debacle (like it was literally happening while i was in the airport in Baltimore), and he showed me a text chain he was on with a bunch of dudes on the ground in Afghanistan and they were all making fun of Kennedy who had apparently just showed up there in his civilian capacity.

he seems like a good enough dude though, i dont know.

and for those on the thread calling out my use of the word "a lot", sorry i offended you. i hope you get through this challenging time.

Was it a lot? He did serve for 20 years in the capacity that has been stated. I believe what he lied about was earning a bronze star. Has there been other fabrications?

yes, perhaps it was just the one instance of lying about earning the fourth highest award for valor in the US military

You are exactly correct. That’s sad and comparison is the thief of joy. I always tell my kids you are competing against yourself and daily trying to be the best version of yourself. Also humility is a great virtue.

He was in the DRC. Democratic Republic of Congo. He’s there with Erik Prince (of Blackwater fame) who has a new company and is working for the DRC government against the insurgency. Interestingly, there is some chatter that Kennedy got hurt in a gunfight with some Wagner group guys. But they are also contracted with the DRC government so nobody really knows what the hell is going on right now. Typical Africa shite.

Is that near his Sartorius?

A woman was shot in New Orleans and the bullet is in her yet.*

His solo missions have been confirmed by guys I know who would 100% know.

Guys who were the S2 at the time he was doing it.

throwing yourself into combat in one of the most dangerous places on the planet should shut down any argument of what kind of dude he is.

I think the most important thing this says is he's the kind of dude who needs money (likely due to his other indiscretions)

I see all the downvotes, but I thought this was something confirmed? That parts of what he wrote was not accurate..

I do like the movie. For some reason I always laugh at the part when his guy tells him about the Iraq sniper (I think he was from Iraq) who was in the Olympics and Kyle said "there's sniping in the Olympics?", but he said it knowing there wasn't sniping in the Olympics, the guy just left it open ended.

Same. I’m a vet and I would much rather be able to say I was SF or had a Ranger Tab than have a bronze star.

I don’t think it was a lot of his record. There were a couple of awards and question. Schreck vouches for him pretty heavily and I believe Schreck.

Are you referring to John McPhee, another liar?
