Why was Penn in the game at LB stinking it up and missing tackles when you have Harold Perkins

Probably because they made the strategic decision to keep that LB in coverage and Perkins doesn't know the coverages yet.

5. Wide Receivers have to make some plays. Boutte still dropping it and Jenkins at the half is a play that has to be made.

1. Can't be helped.
2. Requires a new ST coach next year.
3. Maybe so. That TE actually caught balls this time.
4. It is what it is. You'd like to say Nuss, but that baw is a walking reckless cocaine addict. That's not good to run the ship either. Inconsistent in his own way.

I think Taylor is meant to be a safety valve for JD and he just uses him more than he should.

You’re right. Taylor’s often a hot read or the check down and JD is going to him more than necessary. I think Taylor is getting unnecessary hate because of it.

Special teams. Gave them 17 points.

If you look at Kelly's hiring history he is not scared to fire someone. I hope he does not stick with this disaster of a special teams coach. Special teams took LSU out of the game in the first 4 minutes.

Why do you target freshman Taylor 11 times in this game when you have our receivers?

Because Daniels doesn’t know how to look for option two before wanting to run!!!

know Kelly and Denbrock love to use the tight end but Taylor just isn't good enough for all of that right now.

This 1000%

They have a great WR group and have no idea how to get them involved and continue to run an offense tgats cevtered around getting Taylor the ball.

Orvloski mentioned this in the broadcast, almost to the point of saying it’s almost criminal to not adjust and get the WRs involved.

WR aren’t involved, they have zero running game.

Tenn is putrid vs the pass and sold out with pressure. The fact Denbrock didn’t start running RPO or constantly attack the middle is embarrassing.

6. BAD defense

7. Poor tackling.

8. Too many portal non power five players on the roster.

9. Less than 70 scholarship players on the roster.

10. Injuries and lack of quality depth.

Good post.

Our roster has issues but so does everyone else including Tenn. They're just playing their hand better than we are.

In preseason Kelly said, we are going to throw the ball down field and get it into the hands of our very talented receivers.

Then he selects the QB least talented to be successful to carry out his stated plan.

Then he stated, Daniels was the most complete player in the offense.

Confused or lacking in cognitive ability.

It gains us nothing and doesn’t confuse the defense.

One could argue it actually helps the defense.

Every time Taylor motioned into the backfield the safety creeped up because they knew a run was coming..

And we kept doing it.

That might be a bit over the top. Nah, that is probably pretty close.

I'll go to my grave thinking this
You'll go to your grave thinking the quarterback who missed 2 full seasons and was passed up by 2 other quarterbacks was better than Daniels???

We have zero games where Jayden has looked like a winning SEC calibre qb
this is dumb
quote:

Passes are rare and seldom on target
this is false

We have a few misplays by the combination of Brennan, Nussmeier, Johnson that are harped on constantly over a large body of work, but they did show promise.
Neither Brennan nor Nuss have a large body of work. Brennan played 3 games and we went 1-2, Nuss has barely played and nothing has shown he's better than Daniels.

Johnson is flat out bad and 100% worse than Daniels.
quote:

Daniels has not shown any capability for that at all - in five games he has less than a half-dozen acceptable passes,
I mean this is just a lie lol. in 5 games Daniels has 5 good passes?

Try once to be an unbiased observer of the offense.

Including the first 10, which put us behind the 8 ball and playing catch-up way too early.

We don't have the team to beat Tennessee, but the game could have been much more respectable without that start.
