Because these idiots have to find something to overreact about. They saw one practice, and have anointed Max Johnson the starter.... In APRIL!!!

No. They saw a true freshman take the reigns and win on the road at Florida when the stick that is Brennan go 1-2 and picked up those yards against shitty teams.

How the hell do you anoint Brennan? Where the hell is his body of work against ANY talented team? All that bullshite about passing yds, TDs, blah blah blah from MSU, MO is garbage. He has NONE.

Why do LSU fans act likeMax Johnson runs like fricking Lamar Jackson? Lol

The issue is that Brennan moves in the pocket like Mahalia Jackson.

After watching today, that is certainly the case. Brennan got saved by Boutte on the fake spike, it did not fool anyone and Boutte was well covered, he just outplayed McGlothern for the ball.

It’s much simpler than that. Max is the (presumed) #2 QB. This forum always likes the #2 QB more than the #1 guy.

Yeah. Cuz being more dynamic/able to run automatically makes you the better QB.

They actually like the guy that beat a decent defense on the road as a TRUE freshman. He did not fold like a cheap suit. Say what you want about stats, it matters WHO YOU PLAY AND WHAT THEY HAVE TO LOSE WHEN YOU PLAY THEM as much as it does everything else. Winners are winners.

We have ZERO data on Brennan because he played in about as many games as Max did as a starter but against MUCH worse teams than that had nothing to lose as opposed to UF. With that 1 game doesn’t make a trend either. For this offense to be successful, the QB has to be able to slide and run above average. Brennan has limited pocket awareness and is slow afoot.

I like Max, moves well, fun to watch, would be happy if he wins 4 Heismans. But when Myles drilled a pinpoint 8-yard out on a rope I said that’s our starter.

Cuz LSU fans are beyond retarded.

Outside of his legs, Myles is a much better QB/thrower than Max is. He just is. Max is still pretty good though.

I'll give you arm strength but that's about it. With all other things considered, they are what and what. But here's the thing, that's keeping in mind that this is Brennan's senior year and Johnson's sophomore year. I would hope that Brennan retained a little something over the years and learned under Burrow to get where he is today. And still, here we are debating over who should start. Which is what makes Brennan look to be that bad and Johnson look to be that good all at the same time.

What’s LSU’s record if the defense holds Missouri and Miss State to 34 points?

They weren’t even as good on offense as Florida.

“Max has IT”

He had at least a passable defense.

Early on Brennen played well and the rest of the team played like shite

Later on Max played well and the rest of the team helped out.

It doesn’t matter what the defense did. We are not judging the defense. We are judging decision making against MO and the whole first half of the MSU game where he did nothing. LSU punted on 5 of the 6 possessions in the first half of that game. WTH were you watching? The defense scored the other TD. So not the offense didn’t score 34. They scored 27 against a SHITTY MSU defense.
Brennan had a 45 QBR for that game.

Brennan has little experience despite his years there. You might as well build for the future and go with Johnson against these lesser teams early to prepare him for the grind. It’s stupid to waste his time.

Let the coaches decide. If it’s Johnson, I wish the best for Brennan. I truly respect him for waiting his turn and working to earn the job. If he loses out, he should transfer. Frankly, I think he’ll do very well. Let’s see what happens, but I respect the hell out of that young man.

Dude held a couple of school records before Burrow came and crushed them all, you idiot.

He’s not a Heisman candidate but the SEC (and even the Natty) has been won plenty of times with less.

For fricks sake, we trounced the opposition in the SEC championship game with fricking Jordan Jefferson
