LSU filled the 2 roster spots preventing them from
adding Harris and Wright.
I think they did that to win the necessary swing votes to maintain membership on Thursday.
The court of public opinion sided with LSU on not rostering the guys this weekend.
Most rational schools agree with that. Most don’t want to start a conversation about who all contacted NFL camp guys this offseason.

The NCAA changed the rules on Aug 25th. The SEC only codified the 'rule' on Aug 25th. Once LSU was told about the new rule, and even with the injunction in place that would normally override the new 'rule' , LSU did not roster the players.
In spite of LSU doing exactly what the SEC told them to do, the SEC is doing back flips to force LSU to bow to the league with ridiculous fines and suspensions.
I hope LSU tells them that they will see them in court. SEC has no leg to stand on with this timeline. LSU has done nothing wrong, and certainly isn't the only school in the SEC or America to have inquired about the possibility of returning players due to the NCAA change in the 5 for 5 rule, which changes everything about players eligibility and job opportunities .

The bill isn’t passing congress. So sec is trying to show they are the big swinging dick and keep their members in line. LSU drew the short straw on being made an example of.

Not saying it’s justified, but I think the position is that LSU and Kiffin convinced “pros” to sue the conference and the school and state government supported this tactic.
I think they already had the redass about re-hiring Wade and hiring Kiffin in-conference.

And from what AG Murrill says, they (LSU) has to hire an Alabama lawyer unless the judge allows them to use Counsel from Louisiana. This is one giant joke if you ask me.
