He just said that he needs the bye week after Ole Miss to recover. Why not give him a bye week against SE headed into Ole Miss? Giving mixed signals imo

I don’t think it’s a mixed signal.

He needs to play in order to develop his timing with WRs and gel with the OL, but he could also benefit from the bye week to physically recover, when there’s a reduced risk of physical setbacks and he can reduce his reps.

He’s played below average for 3 weeks but 3 days of practice is the remedy. Yeah bud, you’re right.

But BK specifically mentioned the bye week as the time Nuss will be able to "shut it down" presumably to get better... why not shut it down vs SLU.. and get better now

He also said “come Saturday he’s to go” and “I think he’s on the other side of that.”

Kelly’s point was that they’ve been limiting Nussmeier’s practice reps, and that it’s probably kept the passing game from being as clean as we’d like. I took his comment about the bye week to mean he’ll be back to 100% after the bye.

That doesn’t mean he’ll get there any faster if he sits this week. Everyone is looking forward to Ole Miss.. guess what? If he’s been limited in practice reps up to this point and he’s on the back end of the injury, he probably needs the practice reps between now and the Ole Miss game.

I am more concerned about his practicing all week. They should put him on complete rest until it is time to get ready for Ole Miss.

We are just finding out that this has been hampering him for a month.

Whatever

Yeah I'm with you. I'm ecstatic this team is still ranked 3rd and undefeated, but the minute our shite offense costs us a game the AP is going to have a brutal response in the rankings.

This offense looks like shite for having such explosive weapons. Instead with this offensive line and quarterback play, it just looks like explosive diaheria.

BK said that Nuss is now past the worst of it and is now on the side of becoming healed.

He doesn't go from needing a full week off to be healed and hampered until that happens to suddenly being "past the worst of it" in 2 days.

If he's that close to being healed, then why wouldn't you sit him for the rest of the week to heal even more leading up to a Top 25 trip to Oxford rather than play against Southeastern and risk a set back?

You retards, he didn’t say that. He said he’s on the other side of it. That doesn’t mean he’s already recovered.

Whatever BK says in a press conference, you need to believe the complete opposite. Seriously it’s getting to that point.

That’s cool and all BK but what does an upper body injury have to do with his decision making, footwork, and pocket presence?
