What I think is although talented he is very immature and has some serious mental issues I don’t care if it’s five star arse comes back LSU go wherever I don’t care the teams better off without the locker room cancer he brings

I can confirm this. My son is a sophomore at LSU right now stays at the Ion apartments near all the athletic dorms. He says he's sees Ricks and Gilbert hanging out with an extended posse all the time. It would be hard for me to believe that he is homesick with all the attention these athletes receive especially high profile athletes like Gilbert. I don't believe the homesick excuse.

I think it’s a huge jump to say he has mental illness. He’s away from home, unable to go anywhere, playing with an undeveloped team of young guys in empty stadiums. If he’s depressed or homesick he’s not different from many college freshmen in 2020 or many functional adults who’ve struggled through last year.

why?? I was homesick my first semester at LSU....joined a frat....surrounded by lots of people...only lived a couple hours away too. It happens.
Just really glad social media wasn't around then to tweet out every random thought.
And to the OP, yeah I do find it weird as well. O has never been a master of Public Speaking, just a notch above what Les was...

Does everyone in here realize Coach O went home. Due to being Homesick when he was AG age. So I believe Coach is the best man for the job to get him back to Tiger Stadium where he belongs.

I think most everyone is in the same boat.
Would love to have him, would love if he came back. However the drama is dragging on entirely too long and there isn’t really a reason for him to transfer.
I know we had a rough year but shy given year we are a top 19 team contending for a playoff spot. A year removed from year removed from the greatest college football season.

LSU played much better when he left. Some people say he was a complainer and a bad locker room guy. let's move on past him and concentrate on players wanting to be here. Good character guys, Coach O let him go we are better off.
