The game was not lost because of the Dallas Turner hit

It was because the LSU defense refused to get any stops like they have all season. This is not just a bad defense. It's a historically bad defense that is continuously forcing the offense to score on every single drive, which can be a very hard thing to do playing against a team like Alabama.

No one said it was.
However, losing him pretty much sealed it. I'm a Nuss fan but he needs reps, not get dropped in the middle of hot games.

Yeah especially that game.

It wasn’t lost, but it ensured we had no shot of a comeback.
Flukes can happen, like JDs tipped pass that went straight in the air into the middle of Bama’s defense. Or what if Milroe trips when he collides with his RB again and fumbles. 90% chance we had lost at that point, but that 10% disappeared the moment that thug did that.
Edit to say that it wasn’t a flag for late hit/roughing the passer, it should’ve been targeting. He was going to hit him, but he could’ve laid off majorly and decided not too, frick him and the SEC

The game was over when Alabama went up by 2 TDs.

The difference was the Alabama defense. They were able to get a couple stops to get back into the game and then take control of the game.

The game was over when the db on the same play interfered with Nabers then our qb also got injured. That play ended any chance of a comeback

What is the difference b/w RTP and Targeting? Turner would be out for the 1st half of the UK game?

the game was lost because we don't have a defense, simple as that, this defense is as bad as any defense that Hallman/DiNardo ever fielded, lay terms: we suck

Nuss played well when he came in. Just didn't get many tries with our D allowing Bama 3-5 yds a play in the 2nd half and not giving our O any significant time of possession.

It’s ridiculous people are saying that play cost us the game. Letting Milroe look a Heisman QB is what cost us the game

The game was lost when Andre Sam misplayed an interception by 3 yards while LSU held a 28-21 lead.
Pick that off and get another score. Different game.

Just answer this…
If the jerseys were reversed would it have been called targeting?
That tells you all you need to know about the corrupt SEC.

That and the Taylor drop were backbreakers.

Lots of self inflicted errors in the game. Officiating errors were secondary to that.
Bad defense, four dropped passes at key times, poor play by Speights, Ryan, Turner and Perkins were the prime suspects.
Pointer for newcomers: never expect even-handed officiating in Tuscaloosa.

I agree. I think the call that cost LSU any chance of possibly winning the game was the 40+ yard scramble that was called back by a very minimal holding call on 66. I watched the play over and over and he didn't do anything that was done on every play by both teams. It was just timely, which is how the SEC officials operate. The ref could easily see that JD had an open field and very likely a huge gain, and it was late in the game, and NOW was the time to make a call he hadn't made the entire game. That holding call at the end of the half was so blatant and non consequential, that anyone would have called that holding...and it was the only one in the game on Bama. LSU, like most teams, did not get an honest officiated game.....once again. Deny it all you want...say it is not the officiales fault...and I agree our defense lost the game....BUT, the replay shows clearly it wasn't a fair fight and it never has been with Bama.
