Honestly I only see 1 creepy person in that picture. A guy carrying a drum in public and beating it in other people's faces.

Okay, so what possible compliant reason could an offer have been made to a third party —- not the player —-that is not on the transcript?

At this point the suspension is less about whether Wade violated NCAA regs and more that he is in breach of contract for refusing (yes on advice of counsel) to meet with LSU and NCAA investigators.

I want Wade back we all do. But while Wade has a right to refuse to cooperate if that is his choice. He doesn’t have a right to remain the Coach while refusing to.

And to me this is the shitty part for all sides here. The investigation need not even be completed. Much like the Smart investigation which is ongoing AND his suspension has been lifted, the same could be done for Wade IF IF all sides found a way to get the investigation kicked off and found a way to get Wade’s meaningful cooperation within his counsel’s protections.

But as of today? That hasn’t happened. And all ALL ALL parties Wade included are at fault.

Getting the NCAA involved immediately, demanding that Wade meet with the NCAA, and suspending him for not is what's going to save LSU from "lack of institutional control".

There is just no way to know that.

They don’t come out and say “showing institutional control saved you from sanctions, or it lessened sanctions”.

When an issue becomes so public like this one has, there is no way to skate the ncaa’s involvement. As per LSU’s first statement after suspending Wade, they were already involved.

During the 1st leak there were heavy rumors they were investigating Wade. LSU & Wade Both denied any investigation, but it makes you question if they swept that under the rug.

I'm leaning this direction myself.

How can a simple proclamation of your innocence hamper an investigation in any way? I’d be saying it over and over. His world is crumbling around him.
you're being far too rational for this board. All sane people will agree with you - if you're innocent, you're BEGGING to tell anybody and everybody, so you can clear your name, protect your job, and coach your team.

If not, you lawyer up and clam up.

And don't forget...The Bishop and leaders at his school immediately condemned and suspended him, and immediately discussed expulsion for his hideous behavior...only to walk it back and apologize when their knee jerk reactions were proven very wrong by the entire tape. This is very much like the admins at LSU and their stupid decision to suspend.
I think your comparison is spot on. LSU is being run by morons. My 2019-2020 tickets will rot in the ticket office.

This thread is terrible in many ways. It needs an anchor dropped in its lap.

none of this makes any sense. These situations are not comparable. Will Wade has obligation to clear the air if it was indeed all taken out of context. Some high school kid doesnt.

it absolutely makes perfect sense. You obviously know ZERO about the legal system.
A. LSU, IS NOT AND DOES NOT, REQUIRE an NCAA representative to be present for the meeting, yet they want one. WHY?
B. His lawyer is absolutely correct in advising that he doesn’t say or do ANYTHING that could be taken out of context in a non-legal proceeding. That’s how this sort of crap started in the first place.
C. LSU ADMIN HAS DEMONSTRATED A LACK OF INSTITUIONAL CONTROL BY HIRING AN AD THAT HAD PREVIOUSLY JUMPED TO PROSECUTING A GROUP WITHOUT PROOF. THEY ARE AT FAULT, NOT WADE.

You are exactly right. I have been thinking about the two cases a lot lately, and how media intentionality to foment something works. It gets people agitated, the reporters are now able to "make a difference in the world."

The agenda against Nick Sandmann was blown far-and-wide, THEN once full video evidence of the entire episode came to light, MANY "journalists" and "commentators" continued to force the issue even in light of the truth.

Same thing is happening here, only it is the LSU administration doubling down on their agenda. I will not call them mistakes, just like I will not call the whole Nicholas Sandmann affair mistakes. They were not, the steps taken by media were quite intentional.

The second one is Nathan "Shitting Bull" Philips' grand son shouting "We GOT 'EM grandpa" after he turned away from Nick Sandmann.

DodGamnit. Another freaking anchored thread.

yeah, exactly the same. Except one tape shows Sandmann doing nothing wrong, and the other tape has Wade making an improper offer.

frick you Tiger_n_Atlanta! It’s cucks like you that make me cringe when I think about you having children! So he ratcheted up the situation by simply standing still and standing in the face of someone who was triple his age. You got to be kidding me you SOB!

However, like the Covington Catholic case. We have not heard the full recording. We have only seen or heard what others have wanted seen or heard for their own reasons/agenda. Those who have released/distributed the "incriminating behavior" have only given the worst few seconds, which is how these folks operate in our day and time, trying to gin up the outrage.

We do not know, as of yet, what, EXACTLY, comes before and after "strong-arse offer." Do YOU know? Have you heard it ALL? If so, allow the rest of us to know, some of us have not heard it.

If that kid hadn't stood there with his "do you know who my dad is? smirk" it probably wouldn't have been as big a deal. He definitely didn't do anything to diffuse the situation.
