Did the same moving company that moved John Williams mother to B R also move Chris Duhon’s momma from Slidell to Durham, N C when he started at Duke?

See how that works?

I sure as hell hope not. Also I hope that the PMAC stays the name of the assembly center forever

And, what about Fess Irvin? I was told that his mother was a school teacher. Yet, he was seen all over campus driving a brand new 300ZX with a license plate that read "Fess 4".

Shame he didn't use some of that time practicing his free throws.

Ohhh...was that the same as "Big John Williams"? I loved him.

I hope not. He was a great recruiter but not a great basketball coach.

Hot Rod...played at Tulane. "Hot Plate" Williams was the big recruit out of Los Angeles that played for LSU
I played against Hot Rod in high school. I thought he was good, but not great. He was 6'7" at the time and I thought a lot of his stats came from size alone.

Then he grew to 7' and kept the skills he had, which turned him into an NBA player. At one point, I believe, his contract made him the highest paid player in the NBA. I NEVER EVER could've predicted that.

Similar situation as Keith Smart, who I also played against in high school. Again, he was good, but nothing special. 6'0" at most. Then he shot up to 6'5" and played for Indiana and hit the national championship-winning shot in 1987.

Those are my brushes with greatness.

And, why did Daddy Dale have to move his mother to Baton Rouge from Compton.

Because Dale was hitting that

I saw him at a Top 24 game that I was at my Senior year of high school (which we should have been playing there- Got beat by last second 30 footer at the buzzer) and Dale was all huggy with Williams' mom

Why should it be named after him? Couple Final Four appearances. I’m ok with Skip Bergman Field but that’s it.

I don't understand why Dale has become so bitter. I had many good and bad memories of Dale but the more he bitches and provokes nastiness around the the current LSU basketball program I tend to remember all the bad and forget the good. Dale needs to learn to retire gracefully.

While he's pontificating on how certain coaches do it "the right way" without paying players (as if he was EVER one of those "good" coaches),

And lest we forget, Dale's hero, John Woodin was discovered to be neck deep in scandal AFTER he left coaching.

EVERYBODY, especially the media, knew all about John Wooden and his SCUMBAG benefactor Sam Gilbert. The press just refused to report on it and the NCAA refused to investigate it.

Same for Krzyzewski and all of his SCUMBAG dealings getting the parents of highly rated recruits high paying jobs in Durham that they weren't qualified to do. Dukie V. knows all about and refuses to even discuss it.

Everyone on the North Shore knew what was up with Chris Duhon.
