This right here. I understand the Sunday game but for all of the marbles you give it back to the team that earned the national seed.

Absolutely one million percent this.

I remember the way Jay was calmly talking to the guys on the mound in the timeout ,looking them all separately in the eye and thinking ,if we shut them down after that then he is a damn good coach with a great feel for how to talk to his guys

I swear sometimes im more confident when were down a few runs early than when were up a few runs early. it seems like the winning team in these winner take all situations gets down early and comes back and runs away with it eventually

I didn't see it, but if the '98 team could defense a bunt LSU would have 3peated. Skip went with the bats and defense began to lack. It cost them that one b/c they would have beaten ASU in the final. USC kept bunting b/c the Tigers couldn't defend it.

Incredibly tough hop. Runner at 2nd would’ve been safe regardless. Should’ve just thrown it to 1st.

No man’s land.

Cowan didn’t have his best stuff but it really was an unlucky inning. Credit to
LR for being a really scrappy team.

Imagine not knowing that’s a tongue in cheek reference to ESPN fumbling the LSU broadcast during the middle of that terrible inning.

It's a dumb arse rule. You earned that right through the year. The crap rule of the team that is the lowest having to be home. So by that rule all that won their region 3-0 did not get to be home on that last game. A 4 seed should never be a home team. This is a competitive sport with a lot on the line. This is not a time for participation awards

I’m not criticizing him for that. They had no outs and would probably have loved to get a sacrifice that moved the runners.

Dude r you kidding me? The 1st game we got our arse kick, it’s baseball. Last night after the 2nd inning that was a bunch of young men with mental toughest putting all the failures behind them and kicking arse.
It was glorious watching Frey pound that double, then Bear put it out of reach. That kid was kicked around and buried on here and everywhere. Dude rose up and crushed one, legendary. Oh and Evan’s hadn’t pitched in two weeks, came out the dugout and pushed. What were you watching?

It's actually more impressive they were able to recover mentally and win that game

A thousand times this. I never turned it off, but I thought they were mentally done with the defense being the last thing to go bad. The way they regrouped was damn impressive, with Jones making a couple of great stretches/picks while still lost at the plate and Reaves coming off the bench to nail a very difficult throw.

This is a big reason my dad always loved our seats relative to parking location at the old box. You can always take a break and chill at the tailgate when the game(or weather) sucks.

For those who don't know you can go in and out of a Baseball Game as often as you'd like. They scan you out and back in.

I thought what was even worse was on top of all that and the blooper, the throw in to Milam was short hopped and the ball got by him and rolled halfway to 3rd base. I just knew we were in trouble there but they rebounded back and flushed it. But boy I was yelling at the tv for those boys to lock the hell in.

LOL, Cowan imploded. You are talking about one of the best control pitchers we have. He was throwing pitch after pitch 2 feet outside of the strike zone. He wasn’t even close to throwing strikes. He was awful. It’s like he completely lost his release point.
