Y’all would have been better off parking downtown and walking the levee to and from downtown before and after the game. Haven’t been to home game since Texas A&M 2019.

After 50 years, it's (after game traffic congestion) why I stopped going to the games, and now sit and watch comfortably at home! Miss the stadium atmosphere, but that has changed also over the past few years! Always... Geaux Tigers!

Question because I don’t go to the games anymore. I remember they made a big deal about this study they did several years back. How much of this is being implemented? Did the money for the study go to good use?

I haven’t been to a game since 2019, but I had season tickets for 20+ years. The one thing that used to drive me insane was one week X route was smooth sailing. The very next game it was blocked off. There never seemed to be a plan and every year I was dumb enough to think they probably addressed the issues in the off season.

Yeah this has always blown my mind. It’s like they’re figuring it out on the fly every single time.
I get that things change on LSU’s end (e.g. specific lot designations) as well as various road improvements (or lack thereof) in the surrounding area, but you would think after almost 100 years playing in Tiger Stadium we would have a pretty damned good idea of what works and what doesn’t.
My question is.. who actually owns the game day traffic plan? The city parish? LSU? Someone said last night that BRPD was nowhere to be found and EBRSO were the only ones directing traffic. If so, BRPD’s staffing woes are probably a big part of the problem.

We live in riverbend subdivision and what I don’t understand about contra flow is why not have both lanes going away from campus instead of just have the lanes inbound to campus closed why not open them up to outbound traffic?
If the inbound lanes are closed just open them up to outbound traffic
Am I missing something

I understand the traffic is bad and it sucks but what do y’all expect for them to do to make it better? There’s 100 thousand plus people leaving at once in a fricked up infrastructure there is absolutely nothing that can be done to make it better. Either don’t go or stop bitching about it

We sat for close to an hour trying to get out of the tennis complex lot because the motorcycle cops were bringing 5 empty school busses the wrong way up Gourrier. What kind of idiot thinks that’s a good idea. It had everything jammed up. This should probably be bitched about. Once they finally got them past us we moved ok. Not great but ok.

I was parked in Lot 408, baseball lot. It took me 2.5 hours to exit out of that lot from 8:55 pm to 11:25 pm. I just hope there was some big taf donors that ring the phone at lsu about traffic.

Same here. Lot 408 and we sat there for 2 hours before we were able to even start moving out of the lot. Horrible.

Took me an hour, twenty minutes to get from near the law school to Metairie!

That will ruin the game day experience really fast

The traffic before the game was terrible also. After spending close to 3 hours to even make my way onto campus and to our paid parking I finally just gave up and turned around and went home. With the early lopsided score I would venture to bet that there were some folks leaving while other folks had not even been able to get parked yet!!! The stadium will never be full!! We never saw anyone directing traffic. It was awful and what a waste of money.

They need a pedestrian ferry that will bring foot traffic across the river. They can take hundreds of people at a time and cut out the traffic going to the bridge. I would rather pay the ride the ferry then walk from the game then wait 2 hours in traffic to get to the bridge. I’m sure they can make a gravel Parking lot across the river. Would probably be profitable too

Unacceptable. To hell with that. Just not worth it.

Heres an idea: widen the roads. Yeah the construction would suck for a year or so if done right, but thats what really should happen. Demand change. Don't just accept the corruption in Louisiana government
