LSU could pay what they agreed to in contract. BK doesn't have to do anything but laugh at any "settlement offer" from LSU because the two parties signed a contract 4 years ago. LSU has no ground to stand on, we owe BK $54 million more.

Agreed. But he wanted all of the money in a lump sum instead of monthly payments. He also didn't want to have the mitigation clause if he took another job. That was part of the contract.

But BK also has to actively seek employment.

I am sure he will enjoy interviewing at every directional school that opens up.

Here’s some advise.
#1. Think before you speak/post
#2. Everything you feel or think doesn’t have to be openly shared!
#3. Please adjust your wadded panties!

Paying the full amount was our only option. What do we look like to coaching prospects if we don’t pay what’s due in the contract?

No shite, hence the implication that this was a big avoidable blunder from a PR standpoint

This hopefully means he’s trying to get a job.

Brin Kelly will have a job by December, 2026. LSU will not pay him anywhere near $54 million.

Exactly. Curious as to why they suddenly changed their minds. I wonder if the negative press from the attorney Tom Mars the past few days made them think twice about this.

A lot of things coming out from LSU and the governor have been a big avoidable blunder as of late.

This isn’t on the LSU sports admin, this is on this board for failing to provide clear ducking directions. We ducked up and we only have our ducking selves to blame.

“We”?

How much of the “full 54 mill” did you pay? Karen?

STFU Karen.

Yeah, sucks that Kiffin/Sexton required the payout fight to be done & over with.

It is truly a shame that sometimes the bad guys just get away with it. Considerations in hiring the next coach trumps holding BK liable via show-cause in his buyout to the GB lawsuit that his negligence directly caused.

That was if he were to accept a lesser amount. He wasn’t asking for the full buyout to be a lump sum. You don’t know what you’re talking about.
