Every time I see an old clip of LSU, I am reminded of how much I miss real college football with real, raucous, packed stadiums.

That game was the highlight in an otherwise crappy season.

Don't forget Sammy Martin's play as well. Watch how he pulled away from guys who had the angle on him.

Perhaps the most underrated play in LSU history. That he still had that kind of speed at 47 years old was impressive.

Have you ever seen someone wearing the #49 look more athletic? Geez, ATHLETE!

I have always loved that radio call. Jim Hawthorne at his best.

Todd’s pro career would be ridiculous with the current offenses, pass defense rules, etc. I was thinking this last night watching Rams and Bucs.

May you be blessed for causing me to remember one if the most amazing individual performances I’ve ever seen in person. Yes, Times were lean but dang did we celebrate well.

I remember the PP windmill return by Jones like it was yesterday. I watched it in beautiful HD, crystal clear. Yet the videos on YT look like they are from the 70's.

I was a student at that game. Never seen so many altercations outside Tiger Stadium after a game. The Aggies were sensitive.

The cheer below was yelled at top volume outside the stadium on the side facing the old jet, and started one of the altercations.
“Two quarts, four quarts, six quarts, a bucket
All for the Aggies, kneel down and suck it!”

My favorite Kinchen story was when he was a senior in high school at the LSU football camp. He unscrewed some of his cleats and threw them to some friends of mine who were other campers as souvenirs. Told them to hold on to them.

He was a bright spot during a dark time in LSU sports.
