They should put up a Statue of each coach that won a National Title. That would be 4, plus do one for Charlie McClendon who is the all time winningest coach. I seriously would doubt they put up one for Les Miles with all those optics and same could potentially be said for Ed O but the other 2 plus one for Charley Mac could be nice additions. Alabama did a great job outside of their stadium with statues of the coaches.

Are those coaches the AD for a whole school district ?

Yes they are, that’s standard operating procedure in Texas. There aren’t many head coaches that aren’t the district’s AD as well. Even in the huge school districts in Texas like Dallas ISD, Ft Worth ISD, Houston ISD, CY Fair ISD, Katy ISD the head coaches are the campus AD’s and they still get paid $110K-140K a year.
I would have to see the contract to believe that. High end head coaches in Texas don’t get that kind of money.

I heard when Parkview hired Stefan LeFors that he got $125K a year which is really good money. That’s average pay for head coaches at the 5A-6A level in Houston-Dallas. The money head coaches in Texas make is just different. For Example; Tatum high school in East Texas makes $130K a year and that’s a 3A school.

140k would be on the high end for top Texas schools. I’m not saying he’s not getting that but if he is that’s a massive commitment from a Louisiana school and I would imagine impossible for any school to try to match/beat

True to an extent. The highest paid head coach in Texas is Scott Surratt at Carthage. His contract is worded that he makes $1 less than the Superintendent makes and that’s just what’s on paper. He also gets his whole family’s medical, dental, vision insurance paid for by the school district. He & his wife’s cell phone bills are paid for. He gets a gas card for school & personal use, gets a new truck every 2-3 years that he doesn’t pay, free local country club family membership. And that’s a guy that win 10 Stare Championships.
If Brewerton leaves Zachary to go to West Monroe then it could only be for money only. West Monroe is not what it used to be talent wise like it was 20 years ago. Zachary is a far better program, better talent. Fieldhouse/Weight Room, locker rooms, Coaches Offices are arguably the best in the state at the high school level. Zachary is 1 of only 2 Independent School districts in Louisiana which operates like they do in Texas.
Anyone know what Brewerton makes at Zachary?

Pat Surtain II comes to mind Do we count Landon Collins in the “had lsu as a leader” category? He did have a good college career and was a high draft pick.

Those 2 guys came to mind. Collins had a good college career, he was drafted in the 2nd round.

My question I would also pose to those that have left LSU in the transfer portal error. I just can’t really count many guys that I weep & grind teeth over in these 2 categories. It seems that most of the high profile guys that flip or don’t pick LSU end up not doing a whole lot and are quite forgettable.
I bring it up because there is always so much angst & disgust when we miss out on someone who was committed to us then flips, etc.

Serious question here. It would be a great case study to look at, but how many times has a guy that was committed to LSU or had LSU as the leader and then flipped at the end ended up being this all world player? I can’t think of many. I’m talking about in the last 20-25 years. I mean really think about it, how many guys have left us at the alter and gone on to some historic career or came close to living up to all the hype. Would be a nice deep dive research project.
Let me guess, he got 1.2 million, 5 cars for him and family, unlimited blow jobs by the best escort scene in South Beach, 1 lbs of weed each month and a suite at Dolphins Stadium?
Water's wet = the same thing as him transferring.
Man, if only there was already a thread on this exact subject on the 1st page that is 6 pages deep and counting. :banghead:  :spank:

Reading is not a strong ability for you huh?

We need day 1 first round nfl talent d line monsters that take games over.

We may need that but the portal history suggests that the majority of the guys that get in the portal are not close to that. This year's version of the portal may prove different but I'll believe it when I see it.
I'm sure it's built by Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works along with all the other man made UAP's that people are seeing all over the place. I mean there's only 150 underground sites across this that they could possibly be made at. What could go wrong?

-formation power run game the way Les Miles had perfected at LSU. Those were the golden days of LSU football - power run game with dominating defenses.

They really paid off for us. Got a damn strong 9-10 wins every year with only 1 SEC Title from 2008-2016.
Well, at least he’s consistent. People that do things like this have a very hard time in life with things not going their way. I would be ashamed if I was going to be at 4 schools in 4 years let alone 5 in 5. It speaks to weak character.
It's because the test score no longer matters with being academically eligible to play college football anymore. Another effect of Covid-19. In 2020 NCAA made the test score go away as a prerequisite for being eligible.

Have yet to see it make any difference at all.

And, you'll never know if anything he is doing will make a difference because you don't know shite about what goes on in that football operations building.
