Weeks will get lots of playing time but I think Penn will be much better this year with actual coaching

Its pretty inarguable that Sage plays much better at boundary corner than any other spot they put him at.

He's a "tweener" who is not big/physical enough to be a safety and is not qucik/instinctive enough to be a CB. It's been 3 years. It is what it is at this point. He provides experienced depth. But if LSU is relying on him to play significant snaps this season the the DB group is in REALLY bad shape.

Ryan is in there bc he knows what to do. We have more physically talented CBs on the team but they are still unsure of what to do play in and play out. As the more talented players get more comfortable, you will see Ryan rotate back to nickel/safety.

Trying to figure out I sage to corner o
Means bad things about the corners or good things about the safeties? Just my opinion but safe has been kind of stuck between those positions and has good and bad moments in each.

BK mentioned that they are cross-training Sage at CB and Safety. In the spring Sage was Safety and now Fall camp Corner. Things not set in stone, still just day 1 of camp.

Yesterday CBK said at the Rotary Club that Sage was moving back back to Safety. Stamps was probably at one corner and the other corner is in competition. However , Toviano was cleared to return today but his issue is still up in the air.

I saw that in his press conference. Seems like a good idea to have a guy who can fill in wherever needed if a guy goes down. I hope he is not a starting CB though

Taviano is supposed to be completing but he got hit with a charge and got suspended! Now we're dealing with sage again??

He's a natural safety, just doesn't have the hips to be an elite Corner.

Sage Ryan has been a liability for the most part. Hopefully, there is marked improvement.

Kinda surprised to see Womack over Swinson. Hopefully that means he’s about to have a big season

I legit don't think I saw him make a single play last year, and remember him looking quite rough in spring game either last year or a few months ago. Hope he's made some strides!

Traditional is down hill. Perk and weeks are more sideline to sideline.

Judging from the thread, it's impossible for players to improve with better coaching and more experience, along with another year of strength & conditioning.
