SW did the same thing to O.The guy was a cancer. He destroyed 2 coaches.
SW may or may not have done any of this. None of us will ever know since this is internet rumor. I'll always be thankful to Coach O for the 2019 championship, but it doesn't excuse him for destroying himself. And he didn't need SW's help.

Curious if the OL woes are solely on Brad Davis or the overall offensive scheme? It all seems bad to me and honestly the OL wasn’t great last year even with two NFL starters on it, particularly in the run game.

Orgeron is under a gag order and cannot comment on what Woodward did to sabotage him while he was head coach at LSU.
Skanky blondes were hired by Woody to sabotage O?

Same person probably posted Saban was a lock for LSU

Supposedly the story was Woodward made him keep davis.
The Orgeron spy allegations are interesting. It does seem clear that Woodward hired Davis because Orgeron was at a point where he was wounded and unable to lure a quality OLine coach. Lsu had guys like Campbell and Jones in state they needed to land.
I also found it interesting that of all people they made Davis interim HC for the bowl game etc. And then Kelly proceeded to clean house except for Davis
Kelly brought an OLine analyst with him that he worked with at ND that many assumed would be OLine coach. And last year brought in an OLine Coach to be Run Game Coordinator and TE Coach which seemed telling that he wasn’t happy with Davis.

Is this why Denbrock left? Ole Woody chiming in on the playcall sheet?

It’s been obvious that there has been meddling going back to O. Brad Davis, Denbrock leaving suddenly after coaching a Heisman winner, Kelly promoting Sloan, etc. None of these were typical Kelly moves. Kelly checked out emotionally because he wasn’t in control. Can you imagine doing that to Saban?

That's the thing. Kelly hired much better assistants at earlier gigs.

There was a rumor that Sloan was getting OC job offers from other schools so the plan was to promote him to Co-OC with Denbrock. Denbrock felt unappreciated so he took the ND job.

Yes, Davis is still on staff and Woodward is gone. The governor has immense control over the university and athletics.
Kelly wanted to fire Davis last year and two weeks ago. Administration refused to fire Davis, Kelly persisted so he was then fired.
University hires seem like merely puppets for the governor. Whatever governor wants he gets.

Apparently Woodward liked to meddle in the staff hires which he was unqualified to do.

If Orgeron was destroying the program, how did it improve every year until 2019. In 2019, woody was hired. Woody hired Pellini as Defensive Coordinator. In 2020 the defense was non existent.

lol
Man the conspiracy theories
ADSW is the reason O failed ? You sure it had nothing to do with O going on a whore bender after the title game and hiring Bo frickin Pelini and Putz Peetz,
?

And yet you’ll still have the good ole boy network in BR come on here and defend Woody

That seems beyond insane. I'd want some proof because it would be so unfathomably stupid to do that I don't feel comfortable assuming it
I think Kelly's an overrated a-hole but my opinion would change sharply if he was dealing with that level of meddling. I'd probably be checked out too if I had that much guaranteed money AND my boss was fricking around and not letting me do my job.
People kept asking when you knew there were problems with Kelly, I kept saying when we hired the retreads. It was a signal either Woodward was meddling or Kelly needed help recruiting in LA. I've heard multiple interviews since Kelly was fired that signaled that Woodward was meddling. It would explain why Kelly checked out. Combine that with the woke BS that happened in 2020 and I think it's safe to assume that woke Woodward killed LSU football, not once but twice.

“Kelly”
Can we just stop talking about him already?

Yes and no.
I doubt he single handedly involved himself without consultating with several people like Verge, Austin etc.
Need to keep in mind that when things aren’t going well with his coaches after they’ve made their own hires, it causes all kinds of issues:
Fund raising gets harder, recruiting quality replacements gets harder, preserving the investments made in HCs, etc
Take Brad Davis for example. How many assistants and coordinators did Orgeron go through after he got his extension in 2020? At some point, you need to get involved to help your struggling coach who can’t help himself. Davis wasn’t coming to LSU when he did unless he could be given some assurances, which he likely why he was the one holdover for Kelly. Had Orgeron made the OL hire it would’ve been another unqualified coach like most he hired.
BK wanted to be “aligned” and clean house when he got there. He replaced some good LSU men with a lot of crap especially on the defensive side.
Not gonna fire Kelly but at some point you have to help him whether he likes it or not when things haven’t worked. BK burned up a lot of buyout money and good faith with the base after that 2023 defensive performance that ruined a national championship level offense.
AD at LSU is basically the head of Football. When you have $100M invested in a HC and you’re cleaning up his messes made from the immediate staff decisions, and trying to keep the base and boosters engaged by putting your best foot forward to stay relevant in NIL, recruiting, contending for playoff runs etc — it clearly got to a point that it required a team effort and intervention during both the Orgeron and BK regimes.
I’m sure Woodward wishes that he DIDN’T have to get involved like he did.
