Travinski if he returns.

That is all going to depend on who comes back. Travinski, Milazzo, Thompson, and Coleman all seem like good candidates to get the number but a number of those guys might not return so thats when it could go to White or someone else depending on who comes back next year. Also possible no one gets it, as Jay might not continue the tradition.

This is Tommys team next year plain and simple. Give him #8 and lets move on.

Thompson. And when his hitting improves as much as his fielding did this year, you will be glad he came back.

I’d be thrilled if JT4 returns next year. He is a really good defensive SS with a major league arm, and this will allow Gavin Guidry to remain in the bullpen or in a closer role.

If Travinski doesn’t get drafted and comes back, him.

Would up vote but I don't want to mess the 47 theme up lol

I just can’t see him coming back next year.
Jobert? I mean like I said he took the long way here and his chances of being a big leaguer are pretty slim.

If he gets drafted, he’ll sign.

Who decides on #8 or for that matter #18 also?

He’s got an above average arm, above average power, he’s got speed, and he has heart. I don’t think he will be an immediate call up for sure, he has a ways to go. But it really wouldn’t surprise me with his mentality that one day he gets a call up.

Pearson. Gives you really good at bats and saved game 1 against Florida
I'm not advocating for him, just bad logic.
I think it'll be Milazzo, Jobert or Travinski if any of them come back.

I think Pearson is a good one but could see someone that may only be there one more year taking it and give to Pearson the following year unless you think he would actually get drafted after junior year. It is unusual for someone to wear it for 2 years (seems like), most of the time, they are one year wearers. If Jobert comes back, I could see as him or one of the catchers. Love Tommy but not sure he is the typical 8 guy
