Skip Bertman’s house was damaged by a fallen tree as a result of the bad storm this evening.

Nobody was hurt but the family is asking for assistance and tarps to cover the damage for the time be

He’ll have enough tarps and probably 200 people out there within an hour.

Kind of weird to make this post on FB for help. I’m sure he could call anyone in his phone for help or call a roofer, he can afford it.

As most have said, all he has to do is snap his fingers and I am sure Jan, Jodi, and/or Lori have already reached out for assistance.

Tarps? Pull the one off the box and lend it to the man. He probably bought it originally

From the looks of it, it looked a pecan tree.

I’m sure Skip can afford to do what needs to be done.

My house was destroyed in the Hurricane back in August of 2024 in Augusta, GA. And I never made a Facebook post. I got on the phone and called my crews to help me remove the tree and tarp the roof while also sending photos and an email to my insurance company. I don't do well with entitlement and asking for handouts.

But your name isn't Skip Bertman. Nobody would line up to help you.

Thanks, we’ll recommend immediately that you replace Skip in the Baseball HoF since your opinion is that you’re better than him.

And only having your house destroyed once is rookie territory around here.

And when you’re an 88 year-old, I hope anything like this doesn’t happen to you too.
