As expected, they’ll keep up this charade as long as they can manage & nothing will happen.

Or they will get hit with a permanent injunction, be forced to rewrite bylaws, and get counter-sued to the fricking moon.

I’m gonna go with nothing happens.

The SEC just figured out it must work in accordance with state officials and within the legal structures of the states of its member institutions. The SEC answers to the states in which it operates, not the other way around. It needs to stick to making the most profitable and positive outcomes for the collective universities that comprise it without interfering in how those universities operate their athletic programs.

We have come to realize that when billions of dollars runs through our organization, due process is actually a thing.

About what I expected. No public apology or anything that will project weakness, but they aren't doing shite to LSU after all of this because they didn't do anything wrong and will not accept penalties for not breaking any rules.

Paaauuuullll about to do a new report saying the SEC is looking to add content to the super secret file on CLK. Then they'll really have him!

Sankey needs to go for this.

It's untenable to keep him in charge at this point.

This is over. There was no voting on anything today. Everyone was told to play nice. No sanctions.

We play ball now

I'm reading it as the sec and a few select presidents (tennessee and old piss) lectured Rousse and then tried to levy some punishment and Rousse responded "for what"

Maybe LSU got support from a few others
Maybe that support came out after the NCAA reversal on mini camps today where 4 other schools would be in trouble now

And now they are trying to find a way to come out of it not looking like complete bitches

This whole thing happened so fast it was about 5-6 university presidents deciding to make an example out of LSU and then getting egg on their face and not involving good enough lawyers and/or their state AGs/governors before fully committing to this game of chicken.

As facts started to come out and more counter arguments were presented, and LSU marshaled its full resources, I think the majority of the presidents and schools realized they hadn’t thought this through.

Sankey needs to be removed. He’s made enough money at our expense. Go on now, Greg, git.

"Those discussions will continue" is just another way of saying they're trying to keep a leash on LSU.

My interpretation: some schools still have their panties in a wad and not ready to drop it, but nothing is emanate.
