SEC Network's 16 team pod proposal lumps LSU with the Misses and A&M.

I like the pod idea, but not in this configuration. It looks like they are trying to keep things equitable based on how these programs stack up currently, but big-picture wise, they should swap Texas A&M and Arkansas. Texas A&M and Texas should be forced to play every year if Texas joins the league, period.

In a pod system you’re playing everyone home and home every 4 years at most so it’s not that big a deal I don’t think

LSU has the best deal in this scenario.

How would the SEC championship game players? Top 2 conference records despite pods?

Bama gets the easiest pod, of course.

Noooo...they don't!!! It's the absolute worst deal!

As it stands, Bama gets to avoid A&M some years and Ole Miss.

Are we sure? Auburn and Georgia are in different pods.

I like it.
Why does Alabama have it easy?
The other pods have two "football" schools. Bama has 3 if Rocky Tops ever get their stuff together.

Auburn, Vols and Vandy?

ETA: never mind. I see the picture now.

exactly...

I don't like the pod system at first glance.

Keep it East vs. West and add OU and TX to West and move Bama and Auburn to East

The question is, Do we have the courage to put our faith in Pod?

Stop whining and look at the other pods. LSU gets the two Mississippi schools who both fight each year to get over .500, and you get A&M who you will most likely be the favorite against each year.

No way the schools would agree to a 17 game season. (12 game reg season, 2 game SEC playoff, and 3 game CFP assuming we go to 8 teams).
