Yes it’s a good win. Not sure who you think is playing top 25 teams every weekend besides some PAC teams but you can only play who’s in front of you.

I think you are totally wrong.
quote:

FSU, IMO, is most likely to be the only guaranteed invitee.

I think if FSU loses another game, they could be left out. The ACC isn’t strong.
quote:

If Michigan wins out, they'll get the second spot.

This is the same for Ohio State.
quote:

Texas lost to OU, who lost to KU. Let that sink in for a bit....

So what? Texas beat Kansas 40-14 and will have beaten OU in the conference championship.
quote:

Oregon won't win the PAC-12, even if they go undefeated for the rest of the year - that'll be Washington.

Huh? If Oregon wins out, they will have beaten Washington in the conference championship.

If you have an undefeated ACC champ, A one loss Big 12 champ, an undefeated Big 10 champ, a one loss PAC 12 champ, and a two loss SEC champ I think it’s very possible that the SEC gets left out.

Birmingham has already sent the memo to the referee crew, but it didn’t change their game plan.

If LSU is not in the playoffs, I don’t care if the SEC is shut out.
SEC means nothing to me.

I don’t see how you can leave the SEC champion out and put the same 2 Big 10 teams who went 0-2 in the CFP last year

We can start with the fact that what happened last year has zero to do with this year and should not (and is not) considered by the committee.

Right now Ohio St has the best resume but if they lose to Michigan I’d think a 1 loss Big 12 champ (Texas for sure) and probably a 1 loss Pac 12 Oregon would get in over them

I think, for once, LSU gets the calls Saturday. SEC front office, IMO, knows LSU winning out has a better storyline than a very vanilla bama team.

WTF? Okay, they'll have one less loss, but I'll put victories over Bama and Georgia against beating ND and Penn State any day this year

I agree with you but I think the committee will say 1 loss is better than 2 and go that route.

Why didn’t they let Bama win last year?? It was the exact same situation.

This sounds like a good of year as any for winning the conference to be a must.

Top Ranked Champions get in so I'll allow whatever happens with that

if Bama were in our spot, the article would be the exact opposite. If Bama would win out, they would be jumping through fiery hoops to explain how the 2 loss SEC Champ Tide were a given in the playoff.

Seriously?! Is LSU supposed to lose for the benefit of other teams?

Yes. I told CBK to sandbag the SECCG to let UGA in. Dude went way overboard though.

You’ll will never convince me going forward that there is an equal cost/benefit of playing these big week one games. It doesn’t make sense when you’re in the SEC West

Agreed. And a 2 loss SEC champ is not getting left out of the playoffs.

You are correct and my facts below can tell this guy to go fcuk himself.

What I say is this guy is a whack job if he thinks OSU wins over ND and Penn State are more quality than LSU wins over Bama and Georgia. The only thing better is their record, but here is the deal... Total Championships by the SEC and Big Ten the past 25 years (Give me relevancy the past quarter century) and Championships by the teams who won them:

National Titles per Conference last 25 years
SEC- 15
Big Ten- 2

Teams who won the title from SEC & Big Ten last 25 years

LSU-3 (2003, 2007, 2019), Bama- 6 (09,11,12,15,17,20), Georgia- 2 (2021, 2022), Florida- 2 (2006, 2008), Tennessee- 1 (1998), Auburn- 1 (2010) for a TOTAL of 15

Ohio State- 2 (2002 & 2014) TOTAL of 2

Where is Michigan and Penn State? Perfecting stealing signs

SEC has won the last 4 National Titles and 7 straight from 2006-2012!!!!

Take that to the bank
