The smear campaign against Jayden Daniels bothers me. Whatever your opinion on the NIL cease-and-desist, nothing changes the way Jayden has represented himself, his family, and LSU—with class and integrity.
What bothers me even more is seeing former players and fans try to pit Jayden against Joe Burrow, as if one diminishes the other. Joe is the greatest Tiger to ever live. But what Jayden meant did in Death Valley deserves to be immortalized in Tiger lore, too.

If Ryan Clark wants to help Jayden he needs to stay far away from him. As bad as things are Ryan’s “help” will only make it worse.

I don’t disagree with some of what he said.
It’s the nature of timing and being the person that followed but Joe is always used as this sort of impossible measuring stick for Jayden to match up to. Even when he was playing. It felt like there were times where you couldn’t compliment Jayden without someone saying “but Joe”.
I also agree he conducted himself with an incredible amount of class during his time here.
That’s why this came out of nowhere.
This blew it all up. And Im not sure theres really a way back for the foreseeable future with the heisman return report. I think people would have taken a while but would have forgiven some stuff but the heisman was just a massive petty spite move.

You can’t control the internet or meme culture.
Daniels put himself in the crosshairs by making a stupid decision. LSU has not said much or anything about this.
But this took off nationwide organically. Social media accounts that have nothing to do with sports are piling on. It’s not something that can be stopped.
Clark acting like LSU or Tiger fans did this is typical moronic behavior by him.
