Go watch how many UT fans were at their regional games or heck even their home games. That fan base doesn’t care

CJJ views LSU as coaching the Yankees. There is no equivalent. That’s not being arrogant. It’s the absolute truth.

It is weird OP decided to start at a year we won the title and not count it. We won it all in 09 against them, it’s disingenuous to start the count when he did. These programs aren’t at all similar.

ECU has won their conference the past 5 years. Must mean they’re better than both LSU and Texas right?

Anyone who willingly wants to coach at Texas must really enjoy taking instructions from the "higher ups". Jay doesn't strike me as that type.

I see you fully understand the situation at Texas.

. Before last years championship, LSU and UT were basically the exact same program. Even with that championship, they are extremely similar.

Which decade did they win 5/10 national championships?

Absolutely zero, Texas is not out paying us for a baseball coach that has a national title here.

Also Jay hates their park so no way.

Jay gets a big raise again and we keep rolling

Seems like it was only a couple of weeks ago when lots of people on this board would have given him to Texas.

He isn’t going anywhere

He listed out the comparison from the last 15 years. Don’t get so upset by facts. Nobody is saying anything bad about LSU. LSU is elite baseball program, as is Texas.

Texas played a regional 100 miles from Austin and their fans had a dismal turnout to support their team 1.5 hours from home. Texas baseball doesn't get much support.

It’s getting downvoted because Yexas’ “success” has been primarily from playing in a very weak Big 12 baseball conference.

You can’t compare the results that way.

But Texas doesn’t pick who the play in the NCAAT. Regional, supers, CWS.

So if we remove the conference titles part, and leave the CWS appearances & CWS Titles… that has nothing to do with Big XII competition.

Or are you implying, they’d miss the tourney altogether, if it weren’t for “easy” conf schedule?

Leaning the Jay leaving part out of it…

It’s ok to admit UTs fan base/politics/stadium/everything UT sucks, and acknowledge they are historically a top tier program.

Take off the P&G glasses, and flip the scripts… they have what, nearly double our trips to Omaha?
If LSU has Ut’s history all the way up until last year (same # of titles at that point); and were arguing with the UT fans I can clearly see the 2 following arguments taking place 1) yeah, but we have twice the trips to CWS as y’all! & 2) yeah, well take away one decade of success, and you’re middle of the pack as well with only 1 title in program history otherwise (at the time)!

It’s ok to be honest with ourselves here.

funny how times change, they were once a pretty badass baseball program, and up until the 80s people might ask “does LSU have a baseball program?”
