Would be nice if the local media devoted a second or two (or a drop of ink) to the question of whether it’s moral for coaches to become multi-millionaires from the uncompensated labor of young black men.

quote:

As I understand it, as a faculty member I am expected to praise the football coaches and celebrate their obscene salaries. In the other hand, they are expected not to have the slightest concern about mine.

quote:

Happy for Coach O. He deserves it, I guess. Meanwhile, faculty and staff at LSU are into their second consecutive year without even a cost-of-living raise (which is, in essence, a pay cut).

Are Burrow, Deculus, Blake Ferguson, etc supposed to be outraged by this?

calling it just unpaid labor the first time wasn't gaining enough traction, decided to throw in black men to give it some extra spice

And if the players were paid, he would probably complain they were making more than him. He’s an insufferable whiner.

Someone needs to ask him how much better his teaching was this year over last?

If he is so concerned about the black students, why doesn't he teach at a HBU?

No shite. If he isn't happy with his salary, find another place to work.

That guy is scum.

He’s an intellectually dishonest POS who needs to be taken out to pasture.

I can smell his stench from here. Robert Mann is just an awful human being in every conceivable way.

He thinks his virtue signaling absolves him of being a total piece of shite. It doesn’t. frick that loser.

If a faculty member at LSU leads an academic department that becomes nationally recognized as the top program in its field and accomplishes revolutionary achievements or discoveries the likes of which have never been seen on the backs of underpaid grad students and postdoc researchers while generating millions of dollars in revenue and recognition, they'd be "obscenely" compensated too. If that happens, I'll patiently wait for him to write a similar article with similar outrage.

He's just mad he'll never be important enough to do "get the gat" in the Oval Office.

Did whatever Robert Mann teach bring in 92 million in revenue and profit 56 million dollars like LSU football did last year? If so, then he is due a gigantic raise.

Uncompensated???

What is the cost of 4 year tuition, books, meals, room and board at LSU?

If players choose not to take advantage of that compensation and get an education, that’s on them.

That said, I think there should be some monetary payment for these players, but to say they are not compensated is just false.
