1st one: Caused by pressure from the right side. #21 made a great move on the RT and got to Leavitt which caused him to make a rushed throw without setting his feet and ball sailed over trey dez

2nd one (pick 6 from goal line): inaccurate throw but also aided by poor execution. Right play call but #6 lsu ran a lazy route (and gave up on the play afterwards). He should have run a shallower route to block/obstruct the trailing defender and give the WR a chance to get free underneath. He didn’t - ended up in no man’s land and didn’t impact the play at all…and so the defender was able to impact the wr just enough so our wr was a step behind. Ball was thrown out in front - int. This one’s on #6 as much as it is on Leavitt.

3rd one: this one’s all on Leavitt. He had TreyDez open underneath and single coverage on eugene wilson but chooses to force it into triple coverage. Defender tips the ball..INT. Just a bad decision.

Did come out much more confident later in the game. Am sure they will watch film and adjust. Fixable mistakes but if Leavitt is under pressure, he’s shown he’s much more comfortable running vs throwing.

The early throws in 1st qtr were good. Dont know what happened. It was like he lost confidence. In 1st qtr reads were good and threw to open WRs.
Maybe coverages were tighter and reads got harder

The pick 6 was interesting because the DB wasn't ready for the ball until it was right on top of him. He seemed surprised and caught it reflexively.

This was a good game for this to happen in. Looked bad but really didn't matter for the result that matters. Better to be humbled in this one than in a SEC game.

Winnie Watkins did kinda whiff on that play where the interception was returned for TD.

I would argue the opposite.

I think he feels like he can make any throw and presses at times when better options may be available.

You can analyze this all you want but you have a QB that:

1. Missed some of 2025 with an injury/ surgery.

2. Transferred to a new team and missed spring practice while rehabbing.

This is what you get. Even Burrows and Daniels who were fully healthy and participated in spring practice didn’t hav a great first year.

The Louisiana Tech defensive backs were really good quality for a Sunbelt Conference team.

That said, the pick six was defensive pass interference, aided by a lazy route by Watkins. If Watkins had run his route full speed, the backing DB would not have been in position to intercept. That play does not happen against Ole Miss, or an SEC opponent.

I have a feeling Watkins is not going to enjoy the WR room film review with coaches this week.

The amount of times he took a loss when out of the pocket instead of throwing the ball away was kind of irritating. I trust that this will be a point of emphasis during the week from the staff. Don't kill drives trying to protect your completion percentage. Throw it away and keep the next down at a manageable distance.

Bingo. I think our expectations got too high after last week. Growing pains should be understandable given he’s just getting back into football. Chambliss progressed throughout the season last year and LK+Weiss will figure out how to make Leavitt successful as well

Agree on the route. Showed a replay of another SEC game where the receiver ran a lazy route and instead of a hard cut parallel to the line he took more of a slanted cut which enabled the DB to jump the route and intercept the ball.

Gives the coaches plenty of film to work on.

I’d rather this happen at home against Tech than next weekend against the Land Sharts.

All of these things easily correctable so not the worst game for it to happen in

Leavitt has a very regimented routine. Let's hope it includes a lot of VR work and film study before next week.
