LSU doesn't need to do anything. It is between players, NCAA, SEC, and courts. Just watch to see what happens.

Well, apparently, Scott did not listen to the interview that Muscona had the LA District attorney on his show who is directly involved with the 33 athletes and it’s working with the Texas attorneys and judges. In other words, he’s in the know of what’s going on.
-he was very matter of fact that the SEC cannot come out with new rules in response to a judicial ruling state these athletes are in fact eligible for a fifth year
Adding penalties to LSU or any SEC team that would play these eligible players has no standing and said it would be reverse. In fact, he said that the commissioner was a fool for thinking that this would somehow allow the players to play. They just won’t be allowed to play in the SEC.
And he said that is not going to fly in accordance with the rule of law

These judges already know to do that. They did it in the Pavia case. The SEC doesnt even have a restitution rule but the NCAA does. In either case, it will be a temp injunction with anti restitution clause. The real question is other bs. Refs, media, recruiting etc
Don’t you mean anti-retaliation/penalties for Schools that allow these players on their roster/to participate????

This is the NCAA's doing, and the players' action in response.
IT IS NOT LSU's DOING!
The situation will move forward with or without LSU.
Assuming the injunctions proceed as it appears they will, these players WILL end up on college teams.
It is not a matter of "moving on."
The environment is what it is.
Rabalais wants LSU to take a Dabo Swinney approach, put its head in the sand, and do things in the old way. Meanwhile, the environment dictates the Dabo head-in-the-sand approach to be a guaranteed losing strategy.

Just take a wait-and-see approach, but do not include the players on your roster until after the outcome of the next hearing, at the earliest. Make sure the ruling insulates LSU from direct reprisals from the SEC or the NCAA if the rulings are overturned.

How do you get that from this situation for these players who will impact no more than this season for LSU? Unless that impact comes in a future penalty for LSU, not to mention indirect consequences.

That's also true when discussing potential negative outcomes. Timing here sucks, honestly.
The preliminary hearing is (unless that has changed) is set for Monday. That ruling and the wording of it will probably dictate what LSU does.
